Introduction To Dalian Institute Of Technology

The Dalian Institute of technology Clothing Institute was founded in 1985. Currently, it has three undergraduate specialties in costume design and engineering, art design and photography. It has six professional directions, namely, fashion art design, costume design and engineering, costume design and performance, image design, jewelry design and photography, and has the right to grant master's degree in three disciplines: fashion design and engineering, design art and fine arts.

With the guiding ideology of "consolidating foundation, expanding ability, focusing on innovation and highlighting characteristics", the institute constructs a comprehensive, multi-level, open and cross interactive ecological practice teaching system, deepening teaching reform, focusing on combination of art and technological innovation, integrating theoretical knowledge with social practice, constantly optimizing knowledge structure, enhancing knowledge integration, interpenetration and infiltration among disciplines, creating an active academic atmosphere and a good educational environment, and cultivating a large number of high-quality creative talents.

The college has a full-time and part-time high-quality teaching staff. There are 58 full-time teachers, of whom 6 are full-time professors.

In 2009, the clothing design and engineering teaching team was awarded the national teaching team by the Ministry of education.

The discipline of design art has been rated as a key discipline at the provincial level. The clothing design and engineering specialty has been awarded the Liaoning provincial model profession. According to the 2006 China Science Assessment Research Center, the national professional discipline evaluation of clothing design and engineering is A+ and the top 5% of disciplines.
