Our institute was founded in 1985, formerly known as the Department of industrial art and engineering. In 2002, our school was renamed as "Qi". In the same year, the school of art and design was founded.

In 2006, according to the overall development strategy of the school, it was a great opportunity to seize the Binhai New Area into the overall development and opening strategy of the country.

The Institute has two master's degrees in design art, industrial product system design and engineering, and four undergraduate specialties in industrial design, art design, costume design and engineering, animation design, and nine undergraduate specialties. At present, the college has an independent teaching building with a total construction area of more than 12000 square meters. Historical evolution and development

Founded in 1958, it was called "Light Industry College". It was one of the first 4 light industry undergraduate colleges in China.
