In March 23rd, the European Commission approved the initial anti-dumping plan for Chinese leather shoes. From April 7th onwards, temporary anti-dumping duties were imposed on Chinese leather shoes in 6 months, and the tax rate increased from 4.8% to 19.4%.

According to customs statistics, the export volume of leather shoes in China decreased by 7.6 percentage points over the first 4 months.

According to the China Leather Association, shoe manufacturers' exports of leather shoes to Europe declined in May.

From June 2nd onwards, the tax rate rose to 9.7%.

China EU next month's consultation on leather shoes anti-dumping final resolution is to resolve the Sino EU leather shoes trade dispute before the EU announced final ruling. Next month, Vice Minister of Commerce and China international trade negotiator Gao Hucheng will fly to EU headquarters to discuss with EU.

According to the EU anti-dumping procedures, the EU will formally announce the final decision on anti-dumping cases against Chinese leather shoes in October.

At present, the dispute between China and Europe on labor safety shoes has been won by the prosecution of European Union, but the dispute over leather shoes has not been solved yet.
