Export Rebate Tax Rebates Affect New Market For China'S Footwear Industry
Reporters learned from the 102nd China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) that the export of Chinese footwear enterprises is facing great challenges due to the new export tax rebate policy and the EU's anti-dumping duties on some Chinese footwear products. More and more enterprises are trying to find new outlets, and many shoe companies are aiming at the Central Asian market with a broad market prospect.
"Compared with similar products from abroad, Chinese shoes, famous for their good quality, low cost and complete variety, are very attractive to consumers in Central Asian countries."
The manager of a shoe company in Wenzhou said that with the improvement of the living standard of residents in Central Asian countries, more and more people like to wear Chinese shoes. This has provided new opportunities for Chinese shoe enterprises.
China's well-known shoe companies, such as Sheng Sheng Fa, Sai Fei and duo Xing, have shown strong interest in the Central Asian market.
Data show that 98% of the shoes currently sold in the Central Asian market are imported shoes, while shoes made in China account for 80% of imports.
But a person in charge of Zhejiang Sai Fei Shoes Co., Ltd. said that it is not easy to base itself on a new market. It is necessary to produce marketable products according to the consumption habits and preferences of the target market, and enterprises need to do a lot of investigation and promotion.
Besides, some Chinese shoe companies suggest that the government and the chamber of commerce should take the lead in studying the Central Asian market, understand the trend of market demand, and make innovations in terms of styles, models and colors, and produce footwear products suitable for the customs and regional characteristics of Central Asia, so as to stabilize the market as soon as possible.
