It was founded in 1992 and upgraded to the Academy of art in 2000. Now there are 2 high configuration multimedia computer rooms, one is a news Lab (including broadcasting and television making room, studio, recording studio, news computer room), advertising design works exhibition hall 1, a music building, 24 high standard piano rooms, and multi-media projectors, scanners, physical display platform, a full set of photographic equipment and other advanced teaching equipment. The Institute now consists of art design department, journalism and communication department and music performance department.

There are 5 undergraduate majors: art design, advertising, Chinese language and literature, journalism, music performance, and 3 undergraduate specialties: Art Design (Fashion Design), Journalism (Economic News), Journalism (Law News); specialty 1: decorative art design. In 2004, 2 undergraduate majors will be added, painted and performed. There are 36 teaching classes and 1275 students. The faculty is strong and the structure is reasonable. There are 78 teaching staff, including 3 professors, 15 associate professors, 25 lecturers and 26 bishops. They have rich teaching experience in literature, culture, journalism and communication, advertising design, brand design, CI design, fashion design, music and dance, and have trained a large number of talents for the society, and have also won a high reputation in society.

In recent years, they have completed more than 400 pieces of corporate image planning and design, advertising design and packaging design for the company, the first survey and Design Institute of the Ministry of railways, the Samsung Petrochemical Corporation, the cleaning group company and the Sichuan airport, etc. it has won a high reputation for our society and laid the foundation for the rapid development of our institute.
