I probably had been brewing for over a year. What inspired me is that I made several VLOV press conferences in China fashion week.

At present, several fashionable weeks of international influence, different styles of Paris, Milan and New York have also been examined in detail. I think New York fashion week is closer to the market and is consistent with my brand positioning.
In February of this year, I followed the Organizing Committee of China International Fashion week to visit New York fashion week. The fashion week in New York was closely associated with the market. At the same time, I also appreciated the operation mode of New York fashion week's art and commerce. This is closer to my menswear brand VLOV, and I also compare the New York market well, so I finally chose.

I made a lot of preparations for this New York conference. I spent a lot of time collecting inspiration and materials, and specially tailored special fabrics for this conference.
Reporter: have you ever thought that this time going to the international show may also be like the Chinese designers who have been to the international fashion week before?
What do you think is the reason why Chinese designer brands are short-lived on the stage of international fashion week and unable to open the international market?
Wu Qingqing: it depends on what mentality and purpose the participants have, and the combination of business models.
My VLOV conference in New York fashion week is more a presentation on the international stage. At the same time, what I value more is New York's market. I think my brand style is more suitable for New York's market, and I also want to learn the culture of New York. This is also to inject more fresh blood into the brand.
I don't think I will return.
I appreciate this very much. This is also my attitude to attend the fashion week in New York. "What matters is not your standing there, but your direction."
I didn't know what their goals were on the international stage, and I knew clearly what my goal was. I felt that wherever you were going to press conferences, the brand wanted to go, and ultimately it would go further together with the effective combination of business.
Reporter: how do you understand the relationship between Chinese elements and Chinese culture?
How do you think Chinese culture is integrated with Chinese costume design?
Wu Qingqing: elements are just a symbol of culture. Each period will have elements of different periods, and these elements represent Chinese culture.
We extract elements from Chinese culture and integrate into the unique era attributes of clothing.
Now a lot of local designers are constantly trying to make joint efforts. This time, there are also some Chinese things in my show.
Reporter: to the international fashion week, the Chinese designer brand to the design sense of the sense of design and sales profit considerations, what is the relationship between the two?

In fact, what you are talking about is the relationship between products and the market. I think designers should know how to integrate the two. The design is for commercial service, and can not be separated from market independence. It is also a matter of blindly considering the market, and your product has no uniqueness, so it can be said that these two are interdependent.
