According to the statistics of the municipal government, a total of 141 exhibitions were held in 2011. The direct business income of the exhibition was 325 million yuan; the exhibition area was 1 million 990 thousand square meters, an increase of 17.3% over the same period last year; the number of visitors was 7 million 450 thousand, an increase of 18.3% over the same period last year; the trade volume of the exhibition was 111 billion yuan, up 11.8% over the same period last year; the income of the related industry was 15 billion 300 million yuan, an increase of 16.8% over the same period last year.

Among them, 134 autonomous exhibitions will be introduced.

In recent years, with the continuous development of Ji'nan's economy and society and the further emergence of regional advantages, Ji'nan's exhibition industry has made considerable progress.

The Social Sciences Document Press recently released the "blue print of exhibition economy": the China Convention and Exhibition economic development report (2011) in Bohai, which shows that China has gradually grown into three core exhibition industry groups: triangle, Pearl River Delta and Bohai rim. Among them, the exhibition industry cluster around Bohai is centered on Ji'nan, Tianjin, Qingdao, Yantai, Shijiazhuang and other exhibition cities.
