Weather Driven Sales &Nbsp; Hangzhou Snow Boots Sold 15 Million Pairs Last Year.
Now, weather conditions in Europe, especially in Scandinavia, have become.
Hangzhou
Saint ya
Leatherwear
Tao Yuping, the head of the products limited company, is most concerned about.
Last year, the sales of snow leather boots of San Ya leather increased nearly 30% in Russian market.
Tao Yuping said that this is directly related to the cold climate in recent years in Europe.
Extreme weather abroad has become a business opportunity for Zhejiang's export enterprises. Following the summer high temperatures in Europe and America, which benefited Zhejiang's air conditioning, tea and water pump enterprises, the cold winter in the northern hemisphere in the past two years made Hangzhou's enterprises producing snow boots taste the sweetness of Hangzhou.
According to the Hangzhou inspection and Quarantine Bureau, Hangzhou exported nearly 15 million pairs of snow boots last year, an increase of more than 30% over the same period last year.
La Nina makes Hangzhou Snow boots Sell well
According to the statistics of Hangzhou inspection and Quarantine Bureau, in 2011, nearly 60 million pairs of shoes were exported in Hangzhou, and the value of goods for the first time exceeded 300 million US dollars. About 15 million of them were snow boots, and their value was over one hundred million.
Hangzhou inspection and Quarantine Bureau textile export quarantine office Wang Yongxing said last year Hangzhou
Exit
Shoes, snow boots are the main highlights. The number, quantity and amount of sneakers (snow boots) in 2011 are 45.50%, 42.69% and 77.35% respectively, which is the largest increase in 2011. Compared with 2010, the number of shoes and snow boots is the biggest.
Export growth is relatively large in Russia and some countries in northern Europe.
Like Russia, Hangzhou exported about 4 million pairs of snow boots in 2010, more than doubled last year.
To help expand the export market of snow boots in Hangzhou is an extreme climate called La Nina.
Europe, for example, was affected by La Nina. During the winter of 2009 and 2010, most parts of Europe, such as Britain and Germany, continued to encounter cold weather for several decades, causing people to buy large quantities of essential equipment for outdoor activities, including warm snow and excellent waterproof boots.
At the beginning of last year, the Nordic region suffered the most severe cold in 30 years. The unexpected weather changes made the dealers unprepared, and many of the dealers' inventory of snow boots products were sold out.
In order to meet the market demand as soon as possible, many large retailers have changed their past purchase methods, ordering directly to Chinese manufacturers to reduce intermediate sales links, reduce costs and speed up shipments.
"Last year, many dealers' stocks were short, and a lot of replenishment is needed this year."
Wang Yongxing said.
Making snow boots is a door technology.
In addition to weather factors, the production technology of Hangzhou snow boots enterprises is also an important factor.
Wang Yongxing said that many of the snow boots exported to Hangzhou now sell for about $400-500 in the US and Europe, which is two or three times higher than in the previous two years.
The increase in unit price is not the help of weather.
Tao Yuping said that the export of snow boots in Hangzhou only appeared after 2008.
Because snow boots require water and warmth, the sole and the side stitching need manual operation. The technical requirements for workers are very high. In the past, because of the lack of skilled workers in this area, foreign businessmen took orders, and the enterprises did not dare to pick up them.
Starting from the winter of 2008, snow boots such as UGG became popular in China. Many shoemaking enterprises began to produce snow boots and imported workers in large numbers, thus making the whole industry develop.
One of the main exporters of snow boots in Hangzhou, Xu Huifang, deputy general manager of Hangzhou Howard shoe industry Co., Ltd., said that a pair of snow boots must undergo multiple waterproofing tests before they leave the factory. After immersing them in a certain depth of water for 24 hours, they can imitate people walking and fold them for 20 thousand times without water.
Considering that most of the snow boots are used in frozen environment, enterprises also need to take a sample test to ensure that the snow boots are kept at a low temperature below 35 degrees Celsius.
Wang Yongxing said that according to the forecast of export enterprises, the extreme weather in the world will appear in 2012. Many enterprises have already received many orders, and many export enterprises of snow boots are still expanding their capacity.
Since last year, Hangzhou has added 7 footwear processing enterprises, all of which are producing snow boots products, so that the export enterprises specialized in producing snow boots in Hangzhou area have reached 25. Some enterprises have also increased production lines and expanded production capacity on the basis of original production. Hangzhou has already been the main export area of snow boots in the whole province.
Tips
La Nina phenomenon
La Nina is the meaning of "Saint baby girl" in Spanish. El Nino is the meaning of "Saint baby", so La Nina phenomenon is also known as the anti El Nino phenomenon.
A phenomenon of anomalous decline of water temperature in the eastern Pacific near the equator (the surface temperature of the sea is below 0.5 of the climate average and over 6 months). It shows that the eastern Pacific is obviously colder, and is also accompanied by global climate chaos. It always occurs after the Earl Nino phenomenon. Sometimes La Ni a phenomenon will last for two or three years.
The La Nina phenomenon has occurred since July 2010, making the temperature between the eastern and Central Pacific oceans lower by 1 degrees Celsius to 2 degrees Celsius.
The symptoms of La Nina phenomenon are hurricanes, rainstorms, and severe cold. It is the same as El Nino phenomenon, which will cause serious anomalies in the global climate.
The US space agency said the La Nina phenomenon in 2010 was the strongest in the past half century, and most of the countries and regions in the Northern Hemisphere experienced a rare cold wave.
Reporter's notes
Meteorological economy has a lot of money.
The term "one effect" in the economics field means that the temperature changes at 1 degrees, and the sales volume of commodities will change greatly.
In foreign countries, the meteorological economy is already a very mature business operation.
In western economics, there is a famous Delphy's Law: the input-output ratio of meteorology is about 1:98, that is, the investment of 1 yuan can get 98 yuan return.
A series of meteorological indexes developed by foreign meteorological organizations have become an important basis for enterprises to determine production and marketing plans, and many enterprises have received substantial returns from meteorological investments.
The beer index developed by Weather Company in Germany has become an important parameter for beer production adjustment.
In the best-selling beer business in Germany, traders found that when the summer temperature was above 30 degrees Celsius, the temperature of the beer increased by 1 degrees, and the volume of beer sales increased by 2 million 300 thousand bottles.
Japan's Weather Company developed air conditioning index, swimsuit index, ice cream index and other meteorological indexes: the air temperature in summer is more than 30 days, and air conditioning sales increase by 40 thousand units. When the temperature reaches 24 degrees Celsius, swimsuits start to pick up; when the temperature rises to 29 degrees, ice cream is better than ice cream, the sales volume of ice cream exceeds 30 degrees, and the sales of refreshing cool drinks increase greatly.
It is understood that China's Meteorological input and output ratio is about 1 to 69, which indicates that the meteorological economy in China can also bring huge economic benefits, but compared with Delphy's law, there is still much room for improvement. This shows that the meteorological economy in China also has a "money" way.
