There are 42 samples in the sample, all the test items meet the national standard requirements, accounting for 66.7% of the total sample, and 21 samples have different quality problems, accounting for 33.3% of the total sample.

Fiber content and color fastness are the main items of quality problems. This shows that some baby garment manufacturers are not strict in purchasing clothing materials. The quality information provided by the supplier is directly marked on the product label, and the quality data information is checked without making quality data verification, resulting in the product failing to meet the national standard requirements.

The odor and wear resistance indexes of the comparative test samples conform to the national standard.

The comparative test commissioned by the China Merchants Federation consumer product quality and safety supervision and Inspection Center (Beijing), according to GB18401 "national textile products basic safety technical specification", "GB5296.4-1998 consumer goods instructions for use of textiles and clothing", FZ/T 01053-2007 "textile fiber content logo", FZ/T 81014-2008 "infant clothing", FZ/T 73025-2006 "infant knitted dress", FZ/T 81003-2003 "children's clothing, student clothes" and other standards, the samples were labeled, fiber content, formaldehyde content, pH value, color fastness (water resistance, sweat stain, friction resistance, saliva), odor, decomposable carcinogenic aromatic amine dye, wear resistance and other indicators were tested.

Label not standard

Of the 63 samples tested, 11 samples were not labeled with national standards, accounting for 17.5% of the total samples.

What is more serious is that 3 samples exceed the standard of formaldehyde, pH, carcinogenic and decomposable aromatic amine dyes and other items involving health and safety, accounting for 4.8% of the total sample.

Fade problem

Fading is also one of the most common product quality problems.

Color fastness is the firmness of fabric dyeing. When the color fastness is not good, the dye may pfer from the textile to the skin and cause harm to the human body.

In this comparative test, the water resistance, sweat resistance, dry friction, moisture resistance and saliva color fastness of the samples were tested. The color fastness index of 10 samples did not meet the national standard requirements, accounting for 15.9% of the total sample.
