Mr. Amin said that the Dubai Central Laboratory allowed this new set of specifications to evaluate the color fastness, the color used in textile products, and whether sweating in the sun or washing damaged the fabric, because these would pose risks to human health and the environment.

The laboratory will also conduct other tests to evaluate the quality of the fabric, whether the fabric has allergic formaldehyde compounds, concentrations of major toxic elements, pesticide residues and harmful dangerous amines, and Textile PH value, which may cause skin allergy.

In addition to testing, Mr. Amin said that DCL would also provide consulting services.
