The Unique Charm Of Designer Alber Elbaz
in the capacity of
Designer
Alber Elbaz, it's disgusting to be treated like a star.
So when I came to Beijing, I didn't get much interviews with the media except for meeting with Lanvin's important guests and holding a fashion show to celebrate his 10th anniversary job at Lanvin.
As he said, "I don't want to capture the radiance of my clothes, how I dress and how I dress, which is absolutely not important."
In 1985, he came to New York to be an assistant to Geoffrey Beene brand. In 1996, he joined the Paris fashion house brand Guy Laroche as the design director. In 1998, he made the design director for YSL Rive Gauche, the senior designer of women's garments, and was appointed Lanvin art director in October 2001.
Whether it is the elegance and pride of Tom Ford's inadvertently revealed, or the glory of Marc Jacobs's favorite spotlight, the famous male designers in the fashion circle have such a little unruly fan except the fat designer, Alber Elbaz.
Alber Elbaz
It is fashionable to circle a famous good temper.
He never liked vanity and glitz, and could not see all kinds of peach scandal. As long as he accepted interviews, he spoke slowly.
Because his body is overweight, his fans call him "little fat" affectionately.
This year is the eleventh year of Alber Elbaz's famous luxury Lanvin in France, and Lanvin has moved to Beijing this year with his wish.
This fashion conference is a lot of thought. Lanvin redesigned Logo, so that the blue star sign on the back board was filled with the word "Lanvin loves Beijing". The little fat man came to Beijing in a logical way. Yes, the little fat man we saw at the press conference was exactly the same as we thought.
He wore black rimmed glasses and a large bow tie on his neck. He spoke slowly and softly, like a big brother next door. No, maybe he was a neighbor uncle.
Alber's show in Beijing a few days ago is very concerned, attracting a large number of Chinese fashion circles of big coffee, Fan Bingbing, Ni Ni, Simon Yam couple, cuckoo, Pei Bei, and Japanese star Momoka Ezu are invited to come.
The lights of the show are dominated by black and white atmosphere. The models are painted with black and purple solid colors, thick black eyeliner, and almost all black fashion. Though they are interspersed with some golden and white designs, they still can not get rid of the gloomy feeling.
This can not help but remind him of his deep depression before the hearsay, whether it has an impact on his design.
In the face of the media, he is honest and cute.
Alber Elbaz jokingly said, "I don't like taking drugs, but I can't do without them. I'm a drug addict, because I'm a Jew, and I'm also a businessman, and I don't like to go to parties because I'm not good at looking at the mirror. My way of escaping pressure is watching TV, just like meditation."
He thinks designers and
brand
The relationship between them is very important.
He was often asked what kind of relationship he had with Lanvin.
Other designers have been jumping around between brands, but he has been working in Lanvin for ten years.
"To tell you the truth, I don't know what I've learned in these big brands.
I think I ended up in Lanvin for ten years, not because I chose Lanvin, but because we chose each other.
I can find the feeling of "home" in this brand.
Whether it's my design team or my relationship with management, I feel a warm presence.
This kind of warmth is rather rare in this snobbish fashion circle, which is why I choose to work here for ten years.
He introduced his career like this.
Alber was born in Morocco in 1985 and went to New York in 1985.
In the work of Geoffrey Beene, he learned the wrinkle design that affected his whole life.
In 1996, he worked in France to design the brand Guy Laroche, and went to Yves Saint Laurent two years later.
He said that the brand gives the designer space, and the designer pushes the brand forward.
"There is a mutual attachment between me and Lanvin.
I love the simple and elegant image conveyed by this brand. I often think about how this image can be displayed in my design. In fact, the relationship between brand and designer is very subtle and complex, but it is absolutely the relationship between the two.
When I was dealing with cloth, I was dealing with a woman.
I never felt like I was sketching. "

This is not the first time Albaz has come to China.
He had been there 10 years ago, but this time, what impressed him most was that he asked for a hug from strangers in the street, so the lovely Chinese people gave him a hug.
"That's why I like it here.
The fashion here is very modern and dynamic.
This time, I understand that we all need to be embraced and need love.
This is also what I need in fashion.
I give them back in love, in my own way: let them wear the beautiful clothes I designed.
He said.
Q&A
TO: you seem to know a lot about women, and you know very well what women want. How do you possess this expertise?
As a woman dress designer, if there is no respect and love for women, his work will lose his soul.
I think I can create women's favorite clothes, because I have given these ladies a deep love.
I do the same with women.
I have witnessed the grief of an Israeli mother after the terrorist attack and the loss of her son.
The scene of that moment was always printed on my mind.
At that time, I made up my mind not to see women sad and sigh again.
I decided to use my talents in fashion to bring more beauty and happiness to women around me, and even to women all over the world.
TO: what kind of women do you think is the most beautiful? Who is Mousika in your mind? What qualities do you admire most? Who is the next Mousika who most wants to cooperate?
Oh, my God! I hate this word too much! Mousika's word sounds a little bit, old-fashioned.
You always ask me who inspired my inspiration and who is my Mousika.
In fact, I did not have a specific image in the process of creation.
I always think that I have to design clothes for all women, and I don't want to design clothes for a woman only.
My inspiration comes from many aspects, independent, independent, strong and capable.
These are the qualities that inspire me.
But these are absolutely positive universal values of women's energy, and I hope to pass these positive energies to all women through my clothing.
TO: from a very personal point of view, what is your favorite dressing style? Do you like the dramatic collocation? Do you think girls should do the same?
Do you know that there is a place that I hate very much in fashion circles. Many times, designers are turned into stars, and they are not ashamed to swam across the market.
But in fact, the real stars are clothes, clothes people.
As a designer, I do not want to be a focal point, nor do I want to be a star.
My wardrobe is very simple. There are only a few clothes in it. The black suit is always my favorite.
I don't want to win.
clothes
The bright radiance, how I dress and how I dress, is absolutely not important.
They always say that a good shoemaker can never have a pair of shoes that he is satisfied with himself. That's the reason.
For me, fashion is like perfume. I always smell it, but I don't need to swallow a bottle to show that I am a fashion circle.
TO: in your design, show the ultimate elegance and feel a bit rebellious details. For example, you use plain shoes to match the evening dress. You once said, "fashion is not for investigation, it is for women to escape", so you feel a bad child style ridicule and humor.
What kind of person are you? What's the most "deviant" thing you've ever done?
You can see from my dressing up.
I am a man who always keeps a little humor in his heart.
I don't really know what personality I have.
The most deviant thing I've ever done? I think it's just a fashion designer.
But in addition to being a fashion designer, I have no alternative. I can't think of any other career that I can choose. It's one of the best things I've ever done.
TO: what do you think is the secret of your success?
My secret is to love my work and love women.
I was very lucky to come to Beijing this time.
I did a little experiment. When I was walking on the street, I would hug strangers without any reason.
To my surprise, they would give me a hug, which touched me very much.
These trivial trivial things have been integrated into my design, making me full of love for my customers and my work.
This may be the secret of my success.
