China's AQSIQ announced this afternoon that the latest national supervision and spot checks showed that the qualified rate of leather shoes products exceeded ninety-eight percent, and the qualified rate of sampling for large scale production enterprises was one hundred percent.

China's AQSIQ has conducted a state supervision and inspection on the quality of ninety kinds of leather shoes produced by ninety enterprises in eight provinces and municipalities directly under the central government of Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong, Sichuan, Shandong, Chongqing, Jiangsu, Shanghai and other provinces and municipalities directly under the central government. The passing rate of product quality sampling is ninety-eight point two percent.

According to the requirements of the "leather shoes" standard, the spot checks were conducted on ten items, including the sensory quality of the leather shoes, the peel strength of the bottom, the strength of the upper shoe, the folding resistance of the shoes, the wearability of the sole, the heel binding force, the hardness of the bottom heel, the hardness of the hooks, the bending rigidity of the hook and the marking.

The results of spot checks showed that the single coincidence rate of leather shoes, such as bending stiffness, wear resistance of bottom, heel binding force, pull out strength of shoe upper and sole heel hardness, reached one hundred percent; there were seven kinds of national inspection free products and two kinds of Chinese famous brand products, and the sample quality rate of products was one hundred percent; the quality of large scale production enterprises with higher market share was better, and all items were up to the requirements of national standards.

The main quality problems found in spot checks are the unqualified folding resistance of individual products, and the unqualified strength of individual products.

China's AQSIQ said that the main quality problems found in spot checks will be handled strictly according to the product quality law and other relevant laws and regulations.

AQSIQ also said that the quality of leather shoes will continue to be tracked and spot checks will be made to improve the overall quality level of leather shoes industry.
