AOKANG President "Love Relay Plan" Launched In Guiyang

In April 8th, the launching ceremony of the Wang Zhentao Charity Foundation "love relay project" at Guizhou station was held at Guizhou University. Wang Zhentao, President of AOKANG group, issued grants to 200 poor and well educated college students from 39 universities in the province to help them successfully complete their studies.

The recipients promised to help at least one poor student to achieve "love relay" after completing their studies.

According to the introduction, Wang Zhentao charitable foundation was founded in April last year. It was invested by 20 million yuan from the head of AOKANG, China's largest private shoemaking enterprise and President of AOKANG group. China's first private public charity foundation, named after the name of private entrepreneur, was established by the State Council and the Ministry of civil affairs.

Unlike other charitable organizations, the foundation requires subsidized students to subsidize a poor student after work and turn the fund into a seed fund.

In accordance with its annual plan to subsidized 1000 students, the number of students will be doubled every year. It is estimated that more than 10 thousand recipients will be assisted every year in 2011.

Guizhou station is the first stop of the Wang Zhentao Charity Foundation's "relay of love" in 2008.

At the beginning of the year, Guizhou suffered 50 years of ice and snow disasters, which made it worse for those poor families.

After hearing the situation, Wang Zhentao contacted the Guizhou provincial Party committee of the Communist Youth League through his personal charitable foundation and expressed his wish to help the students in Guizhou.

The 200 college students who were funded were from 39 universities in the province. They were declared by students to the provincial Party committee and jointly screened by the provincial Party committee and the Wang Zhentao charity foundation.
