Fashion Summit Of Dalian International Fashion Festival: How To Call Your Brand Around The World
China lacks hard power and lacks soft power.
Whether it is fashion industry or clothing industry, China's biggest dilemma is that it has no right to speak.
Many Chinese apparel industries are still struggling at the manufacturing end, how can they jump from one end to the other? How can they claim their brands around the world? At Wanda hahai mansion 2012
Dalian
During the International Fashion Festival Costume Design Summit Forum, the 4 guests answered the question from different aspects.
German fashion designer David UBL, director of Dalian University, Xie Tian, chairman of Dalian Fashion Design Association, Mr. Ye Rong, chief financial officer
Four experts from different fields talk about innovation and development.
Ye Rong: before we innovate, what we need is subversion.
Garment industry is inseparable from
innovate
When it comes to the two words of innovation, I think we need to think about two words -- subversion.
You have to break through some of the habits that you already have, or even the high growth patterns that you used to bring to you. You have to deny yourself and walk out before you can talk about innovation.
Talk about
Garment industry
I personally like the saying: when I buy it and wear it on, I am an artist who creates himself.
In fact, when we choose this dress and put it on, your connotation is expressed through clothing, and your aesthetic trends and values are also accomplished through clothing.
I remember that as early as 2007, Germany began to systematically put forward its new road to cultural industrialization.
It is very interesting that at that time, just when the high-speed rise of the digital industry came into being, Germany's economy grew rapidly and rapidly after the decision was put forward.
At present, the development of the German cultural industry has accounted for 7% of the total output and is growing at an annual rate of about 5%. This speed is very great for the European Union.
So for the economy, creative industries are very important.
In my concept, fashion creation is a glorious industry. Now the vast world has been displayed. We must seize it.
Now, many international top brands are applying Chinese elements. Why? Because he sees China's purchasing power.
This is an opportunity. We should let them see that Chinese people are smart and wise besides hard work.
David UBL: China's trend is the future of the world.
I am not very sure about the word competition. I hope I bring some new inspirations and new ideas.
From an economic point of view, both the United States and Europe, and even now China, are now in a rather difficult period.
But there is a clear trend, that is, the international market has put their eyes on China.
Chinese fashion, the trend of China, will be the future of the whole world.
Therefore, I strongly encourage young designers in China to go abroad to see and listen.
We know that the so-called fashion industry in China is still a new industry. Compared with Europe and the United States, we are still relatively young.
It takes time for China to form its own top brands in the world. I particularly want China to be able to become the international brand stage after three years, that is, 2016. This is my hope for China.
I think that with the development of internationalization, the trend of clothing is becoming more and more internationalized and more and more convergent.
As the biggest consumer country in the world, actually, I envy Chinese designers very much because they know more about Chinese people, and you can easily imagine what Chinese people like. But for a German designer like me, the best solution is to form a team with Chinese designers so as to create a good brand.
Yu Zezheng: designers should take the lead in innovation
Dalian is a beautiful city. Since the fashion festival, fashion Dalian has made its own industry and team.
For the city of Dalian, the costumes Festival has been held for the more than 20 time. The clothing brands in Dalian have few influence in the world. There are few influential in China. Why? Dalian Designers Association has been exploring this. So this year, we made a concept show to promote the development of Dalian fashion design industry through cultural activities, and push the team to do this with the attitude of innovative industry.
In the past, when we mentioned the clothing industry, we always mentioned that clothing processing, the size of the large scale, the output value, in reality today, only innovation is its main theme.
Design must be original and must be created. Designers should take the lead in this innovation.
At present, the designer of Dalian is still a versatile designer in a sense. Everything can, for example, I can draw, I can design, and can also make clothes, but also deal with interpersonal relationships, manage market sales, set up factories, and have their own sales channels.
I think a real designer needs a strong team support, for example, the construction of his production channels and network construction. If a designer does anything, he may not be able to accomplish anything.
World famous teacher's fashion show first summit forum.
Xie Tian: undergraduate education is jumbled but not thorough.
Most of the current education in China is mainly undergraduate.
Undergraduate education is generalist education. There are many things to learn, but none of them go deep.
If you want to study the content of one direction, you often need to graduate at this stage.
However, after all, more than 90% of the students are involved in the work after graduation. In such a case, after the reform and opening up to the first three or four years, our enterprises mainly rely on production and processing, processing, design and processing.
Business owners eager for quick profits and instant benefits require quick returns, feed a group of people, and cultivate a brand.
Fortunately, China's overall strength has been strengthened, laying the foundation for the improvement of the whole social and cultural level, and promoting the creativity of designers.
We see that young people in China now have their own ideas and have their own attempts. This is a starting point.
David UBL from Germany told us that when he was studying, high school was not just a place to read alone. He spent four days in the company working in seven days a week, and he returned to school in three days to fully integrate theory with practice.
Because of this learning environment, he had designed his life at the age of 16.
David UBL suggests that young people should make early plans for future development, find further learning motivation in their work, and find ways to enlighten their work in learning.
