    Reporter: This is the second time you set foot on the stage of New York fashion week. What's the change of mindset compared with the first time?

    In this process, through the platform of New York fashion week, I have changed a lot with my brand.

    I learn and absorb a lot of things, let me more mature, know what I want, and more clearly the brand's future goals and direction of development.


    Last year, as a Chinese designer, I was a little nervous and uneasy in front of New York international fashion week and many buyers. Through the last training, I was more mature and more peaceful, including my brand.

    When I was on the stage of New York fashion week again, I was very calm. I am confident enough to do this show.


    Reporter: how long did it take to prepare for this conference again in New York fashion week? It's already very urgent. What extent is it prepared now? What other aspects do you worry about?


    Wu Qingqing: this conference started from the initial inspiration, and now it is about half a year to prepare. So far, the theme planning, fashion style, stage originality, music and dance preparation of this show have basically come to an end.


    On the whole, through the experience of New York fashion week, there has been a certain amount of control.

    But there is still some concern about the recognition of products in New York market and the feedback from this year's show. Although it was successful last year, this year has made an overall improvement, striving to make greater breakthroughs in all aspects, presenting a perfect show for everyone, so that everyone can remember VLOV, and at the same time, I hope you will like my show this year.


    Value the operation mode of Arts and Commerce in New York


    Reporter: before you have said, the reason why you choose to run a show in New York is because you value its operation mode of art and commerce, and at the same time, it is more consistent with your brand positioning. So after the first practice, do you think New York show has improved your brand? What are the specific aspects of its performance?


    Wu Qingqing: I think the promotion of individuals and brands is quite big, because the platform of New York has a high degree of recognition for fashion and art. At the same time, it can help the brand to fall in the New York market in the whole business operation.


    On the one hand, I am more able to integrate into the international arena. On the other hand, my work is more integrated with the market, in line with the mass consumer groups, and has a sense of quality and fashion.


    Last year's New York fashion week and the attention of local buyers and fashions are more introverted and steady for my brand's direction and clarity, including store display, CI and products. I also understand men's thoughts and understand men's mood, mentality and taste of life better.

    There is a stronger cultural claim and artistic appreciation.


    Reporter: after the first show of fashion week in New York, did more people know and understand the Chinese brand of VLOV?


    Wu Qingqing: Yes, through the New York fashion week platform, including the attention of the internationally renowned media, let more international buyers understand the brand of VLOV.

    After all, Chinese clothing brands can stand on the international stage and not many. At present, the Chinese brands are also highly concerned. Through the platform of New York fashion week, many people know VLOV, which is very helpful for me to open the international market. At the same time, the International release also has certain influence on the domestic market.


    I hope to get more overseas orders.


    Reporter: New York fashion week is famous for its business. Many overseas buyers will gather together. Is there any overseas order after VLOV's first release?


    Wu Qingqing: after the end of my show last year, some buyers found us and some orders, but the current volume is not very large. This is why I go to New York again.


    Reporter: as a domestic audience, actually we really want to know how the overseas audience looks at Chinese brands. In their consciousness, do they still feel that "made in China" is stronger than "created in China"?


    Wu Qingqing: the audience and buyers abroad are more and more aware of Chinese brands. They are very interested in Chinese brands.

    We know that in the international impression of China's garment industry, more are made in China, but now more and more Chinese original brands are being created. China's original brands have been recognized in the international arena, and "Chinese creation" has gradually become a foothold in the world.


    Reporter: how many stores have VLOV set up in many countries around the world? How are the sales?


    Wu Qingqing: the main shops are mainly domestic, and there are about three hundred shops, mainly in the second tier cities in China. The sales situation is good in the industry. It is also a new force.


    Apparel industry awaits "dawn"


    Reporter: let's talk about the theme of your New York conference this time. Why is the theme decided? Where does the inspiration come from?


    Wu Qingqing: the theme of this conference is "love to continue New York". The fashion atmosphere of New York inspired a lot of design inspiration and gave me a strong New York plot.

    And the love for VLOV on the world stage has not ended, so this year will continue.


    The theme of this dress was inspired by "dawn". I was moved by the color of the dawn, and the color of the dawn continued to change with the rising of the sun. At this moment, my eyes seemed to enter a gentle movement. Each note entered my mind with color and stimulated every inch of my nerves. I quickly picked up the brush and recorded the inspiration movement and wrote it in my work, so that there was only this "dawn".


    In the use of clothing, the future grey, white, Royal khaki and black are mainly mixed with green. Through a combination of colors, a gorgeous daylight can be condensed into a set of garments, representing not only color and feeling. Dawn is also an upward force. It is a kind of hope, a kind of rebirth, and VLOV meets a new future in the dawn.

    Now the economic environment is not ideal, especially the clothing industry, so dawn is a kind of rebirth, bringing a hope.


    Chinese designers need to absorb multiculturalism.


    Reporter: there are many domestic designers who want to be able to walk to the stage in New York. What are your good suggestions to share?


    Wu Qingqing: more and more domestic designers go to the New York stage. Many domestic designers also have the opportunity to show themselves on the international stage.

    But when domestic designers want to step out, including myself, there will be many hesitation and hesitation. When you decide to stand on the international stage, you should firmly believe that we are not inferior to foreign designers.


    In addition to confidence, first of all, we must have the experience and strength of our own press conference, and we can also give some help through the domestic designers association, and finally stand on the international stage.


    Reporter: through your observation, compared with foreign designers, what are the deficiencies of Chinese native designers in designing language?


    Wu Qingqing: every designer has his own soul and ideas.

    China has five thousand years of cultural sedimentation, and Chinese designers have their own unique insights and cultural details.


    Chinese designers have some shortcomings compared with foreign excellent designers. In my experience, I suggest that Chinese designers can contact more internationally and assimilate foreign cultures, because art is boundless, and we need to go out more, watch foreign conferences, constantly absorb and enhance themselves in this fashionable environment, and stand on the international stage, so that more people can see Chinese designer brands, show themselves and get the recognition of the international fashion industry.


    Reporter: can you tell us about the secret? Usually a domestic designer wants to think of what specific processes he needs to run overseas, so that he can get such an opportunity. How much is the cost of holding a conference?


    Wu Qingqing: first of all, we need to do some experience in the domestic market and get the recognition from the industry and the people of the fashion industry and the media.

    Then we can apply for a show abroad by the Chinese Designers Association. At the same time, we need the foreign organizers to see the work and publish the content, and make the audit meet the local conditions. If it meets the requirements, we can accept the domestic designer to make a show abroad.

    The important point is that we need a professional team from abroad to help complete the release so that we can make a press conference overseas.


    The scale of each conference is different, so the cost is different.
