    Xingye Leather: Leading The Way Of Green Leather Development

    16 years ago, Wu Huachun, founder of Xingye leather, started from scratch and founded leather industry in Anhai, Jinjiang.

    16 years later, Xingye leather has become a leading enterprise in China's leather industry. It is a leather supplier of many brands, such as: Playboy, Goldlion, Puma, American Camel, AOKANG, red dragonfly, BELLE, Daphne and so on. The market share of cattle hide leather is the first in the industry, and Xingye has also become the largest supplier of leather material in China.

    In the past 16 years, Wu Huachun led the Societe Generale in the leather industry to create his own blue sky with the image of a brave warrior who persevered, hardworking, loving and dedicated.

    "There is a way of thinking, only a way out; there is vision, only achievements!" poverty accompanied Wu Huachun to finish his childhood and youth. According to his introduction, when his childhood was very poor, it was the burden of his mother to stir up the whole family.

    Therefore, in order to help his mother to subsidize his family, he sold the crops such as sweet potato seedlings and sold them in the market.

    "I have sold pork, and I have sold beef, and I have set up small stalls, basically there is no fixed place."

    Wu Huachun said.

    However, with his enthusiasm and smile, he won a lot of customers.

    In that hard day, Wu Huachun's income was not much, but the initial excitement, similar to entrepreneurial enthusiasm, made him full of energy and infected everyone around him.

    In the 90s of last century, leather products were popular in China, leather goods, leather shoes, leather bags, and all kinds of leather products on the streets.

    The leather industry was a blank in China at that time, entirely relying on imports from Italy, Japan and Taiwan.

    Wu Huachun has keen insight into the development prospect of leather industry. He brought his courage to face difficulties, courage without fear and sharp insight and sharp business insight, and resolutely stepped out of the first step of entrepreneurship.

    Thus, Xingye leather came into being.

    Like many successful entrepreneurs, Wu Huachun's career development has undergone a gradual process: in the early stage of his business, he first opened a small workshop, went abroad alone, took part in the scholarship, concentrated on the market research, obtained detailed information, and imported foreign equipment, talents, technology and raw materials into the country, opened a leather industry's exploration and development road.

    Over the next few years, the scale of the small factories continued to expand. Now, Xingye leather has been officially pformed into Xingye leather Polytron Technologies Inc, and Wu Huachun's career has undergone tremendous changes.

    As the leader of leather industry in China, Xingye leather is also deeply aware of its mission and responsibility in this green wind, so "green leather" has entered the public's vision.

    It has also been questioned that the leather industry itself is a polluting industry. Is it not necessary to ask for greening of Xingye leather products?

    "On the contrary!"

    Wu Huachun looks very pleased, because leather pollution treatment is not perfect enough, so enterprises must strengthen the environmental protection function of products, which is the responsibility of enterprises.

    In fact, as early as 5 years ago, Wu Huachun began to envisage his green dream.

    That year, Xingye found a more than 20 years of history of Ash Leaching Technology and Liming Agent technology research enterprise Shanghai Dongyang Chemical Co., Ltd.

    "With the help of Dongyang chemical industry, we pioneered the use of this new type of medicine principle Liming Agent."

    Wu Huachun said with great joy.

    However, the price of environment-friendly chemical raw materials is relatively high, and a lot of use will increase the cost, which greatly limits the promotion of these environment-friendly chemicals.

    Therefore, at present, such high and new technologies are adopted by large leather enterprises such as Xingye and Sindh. Most of the small and medium-sized leather enterprises are deterred by high technical costs.

    Thus, Wu Huachun has a bold idea: rather than because of the high cost of research and development, leading to only a few large enterprises can afford to buy, it is better to let leather enterprises and finished shoe enterprises also participate in the research and development of the most raw materials. The whole industry chain jointly works out R & D to share the cost of research and development, so as to reduce the price of environment-friendly materials.

    To this end, in December 2007, Xingye held a meeting of representatives from upstream suppliers and downstream distributors in Dujiangyan to discuss how to achieve "green, environmental protection, synergy and win-win" in leather industry.

    "The realization of green concept requires us and its upstream and downstream enterprises to work together and work together with the whole industry chain."

    Wu Huachun told reporters that leather enterprises to truly achieve environmental protection, in addition to all aspects of the production process, the use of environmentally-friendly chemical raw materials is more important.

    But the cost of developing environment-friendly materials is high. If the upstream and downstream enterprises share the high cost of environmental protection technology together, it will be a good thing for the whole leather industry chain, especially for many small and medium-sized leather enterprises in Jinjiang.

    Wu Huachun believes that the research and development of environmental protection technology needs a lot of manpower and financial resources, and it takes a long time. Even though the industry is determined to do so, it is not enough to rely solely on the strength of their leather.

    At the same time, in order to ensure the product's environmental protection, Xingye has introduced more than 20 measures such as saving water, electricity, gas, material and emission reduction, and introduced "chrome free tanning production" and "ecological tanning" technology to solve tannery pollution from the source, and formulated an internal control system to prevent toxic and harmful ingredients from entering the procurement, and promoted the development of more raw materials with superior quality, low price and environmental protection.

    Today, Xingye is developing a new environmental protection technology with Dongyang company -- "waste liquid recycling and reuse".

    It is understood that leather enterprises are generally discharged after the waste water treatment, but after processing, more or less will be a certain pollution, and will reduce the enterprise's "leather yield."

    Once the technology is successful, the waste water will not be discharged in the leather making process, but will be recycled directly.

    "Xingye leather, as a leading enterprise in leather making, has the ability to lead the industry in environmental protection and energy saving production."

    Wu Huachun looks very confident.

    In fact, the green concept of Xingye and the great policy of "energy saving and emission reduction" implemented by the state in the past two years are the strategic goals of keeping pace with the times.

    If the idea of green culture is a responsibility of Xingye to society, then the "ox culture" is the commitment of Xingye to all employees.

    According to convention, Xingye has held a special birthday party on the 20 of every month.

    That night, the senior leaders of Xingye will burn birthday candles for all birthday employees in the month to celebrate their birthdays, while other employees in Xingye also have the honor to participate in the birthday banquet, and according to the "cattle culture" of Xingye, they are divided into four squares, namely, the rhinoceros, the yellow bull, the bullfight and the cow team.

    As a matter of fact, when you go into business, you will be amazed at the fact that you are full of cattle.

    Whether it is the high quality leather produced in the workshop or the slogan of "Jinjiang cattle Fujian cattle China bull world cattle", or a number of cattle raising initiatives, such as "the market share of shoe upper leather, the whole industry" and so on, are deeply reflected the connotation of Xingye leather "promoting cattle essence and inheriting cattle culture".

    In fact, the "cattle culture" chosen by Xingye is also preparing for the 2008 listing of Societe Generale.

    "Listed companies should strive for the trust and support of shareholders. In addition to financial and other aspects of standardization and pparency, enterprises have the prospect of sustainable development, positive corporate culture is also very important."

    Wu Huachun said frankly that the implementation of "cattle culture" before listing also implies the hope of stock prices rising after the listing of Xingye.
