    In order to reduce costs, expand application scope and improve the properties of polymer materials, polymers with different chemical compositions and properties are usually synthesized by blending or grafting copolymerization to produce hybrid polymers.

    The prepolymer is easy to be mixed with other monomers or polymers and interacts with each other without interference. The polyurethane interpenetrating polymer network (IPN) with excellent properties has been obtained. Therefore, it has become the most active interpenetrating polymer network.

    Modified polyurethane can be widely used as auxiliaries and finishing agents for various textile auxiliaries.

    The waterborne polyurethane modified by organosilicon can not only be soft and slippery, but also has obvious improvement in elasticity and washability. It is a good softener. Graft polyfluoroalkyl on the main chain of polyurethane can become a good waterproof and anti oil finishing agent, while grafting halogen or phosphorus on its main chain will become an excellent flame retardant finishing agent.

    The copolymer has excellent flexibility, water resistance, breathability, biocompatibility and polyurethane wear resistance. It can be widely used in textile printing and dyeing field.

    The combination of silicone and silicone can greatly improve the surface properties, moisture resistance and low smoothness of waterborne polyurethane, and feel more comfortable and smooth.

    In polyurethane materials with hydroxyl terminated poly (two methylsiloxane) as the soft segment, the silicone segment tends to enrich and orientate on the surface of the material, thus improving the adhesion and hardness of the copolymer film.

    This waterborne silicone / polyurethane emulsion can be used not only for leather finishing, but also for hand finishing agents and waterproofing agents.


    The cationic polyurethane brightener modified by highly active organo polysiloxane has the advantages of stable emulsion, pparent film and good spray feeling.

    Studies have shown that the resurfacing isocyanate group can react with the reactive groups on the fibers in the process of heating and finishing by water-soluble silicone modified capped polyurethane, so the fabric has better elasticity and washability.


    Acrylate modified polyurethane


    Waterborne polyurethane has high elasticity and good permeability, heat resistance, cold resistance, chemical resistance, abrasion resistance and soft handle. Its wet rubbing fastness and smoothness are good. Its film is not sticky and does not absorb dust. Printing on knitted fabrics does not produce defects such as dew, but its heat resistance and water resistance are poor, and its price is 3~4 times higher than that of polyacrylate (PA).

    Although waterborne acrylic resin has good water resistance, weatherability and mechanical properties, it also has the disadvantages of high hardness, thermal viscosity, crisp and so on.

    Therefore, polyurethane is used to modify acrylate, so as to combine the advantages of both, and make the advantages complementary.

    Its modified product is known as the "third generation" polyurethane emulsion (PUA), and is becoming a research hotspot in recent years.


    The PUA emulsion obtained by chemical copolymerization, whose PU and PA components have reached the compatibility at the molecular level by chemical bond, with higher composite degree and superior performance, is the focus of the development of PUA composite emulsion in the future.

    Studies have shown that PU/PA interpenetrating polymer networks can enhance their efficacy in hand feeling, strength, elongation, water absorption and vacuuming through interpenetration, entanglement and compatibility among molecular chains.

    The entanglement between the network obviously improved the dispersibility and the hydrophilicity of the interface, so as to achieve the purpose of modification.


    PUA interpenetrating network emulsion coating not only has excellent physical and mechanical properties and water resistance, but also has good gloss, high elasticity and excellent weather resistance. It can be used in adhesives, fabric coatings, pigment dyeing / printing and leather finishing.

    Suitable objects include paper, cotton flannel, pure cotton knitted fabric, silk electric spinning, real silk knitted fabric, silk / spandex elastic.
