China Will Host The First International Conference On Large-Scale Textile Industry

On 2011, at the Eleventh Asian Textile Conference held in Daegu, South Korea, nearly 800 delegates from 22 countries came together. At the end of the conference, members of the FAPTA Federation of Asian Professional Textile Associations will vote on which country to hold the next 2013 Asian Textile Conference. The China Textile Engineering Society submitted the application of the conference to strive for the convening of the Asia Textile Conference.

The India Textile Institute has also submitted an application for the bid. As an initiator of the association of Asian textile associations, the India textile society has successfully held two sessions. India's excellent cross disciplinary academic cooperation has played an important role in the two session. China's textile industry gradually completed its industrial transformation in the development of the 11th Five-Year plan, and the concept of technology and economy played an important role in the whole industry. The transformation of academic achievements and application of science and technology by scientific research institutions and academic groups has made the world see the transformation of China's textile industry from big country to powerful country. After fierce debate and vote, the China Textile Engineering Society successfully obtained the right to host the twelfth ATC Asian Textile Conference.

China Textile Industry Federation attaches great importance to this Asia Textile Conference and gives support from all sides. China Spin Sun Ruizhe, vice president of the Federation of industry and chairman of the China Textile Engineering Society, said that managing the Asian Textile Conference is not only the academic exchange of China's textile industry to the world, but also the promotion of textile enterprises' investment in scientific and technological innovation, and the industrialization of advanced quality products. After discussions among the various parties, the theme of this Asia Textile Conference was identified as the "new textile outlook". The concept of "new textile technology" was extended from various perspectives through the conference. It was decided to be held in Songjiang, Shanghai on October 23, 2013 -26. Under the request of many member units, the main venue and numerous branch venues were set up.

The conference attracted the attention of many colleges and universities including Donghua University. Many textile enterprises also expressed their innovative technology to the conference.
