However, experts predict that the second half is expected to improve.

From the China clothing association's understanding, according to the sales statistics of the key large retail enterprises in China, the sales volume of clothing sales reached 21% in the first half of this year compared with the same period last year, an increase of nearly five percentage points over the same period last year.

According to the introduction, from the perspective of demand, grain and oil prices rose to a great extent in the first half of this year, which inhibited the demand of clothing to a large extent. The two spring festival and the May season should be the rush period of Chinese clothing sales, but they showed a low level in the snowstorm and earthquake disasters.

In the one or two quarter of this year, the per capita disposable income of urban residents in China increased by 12% and 14% respectively, significantly lower than that of grain and oil prices. That is to say, the residents' ability to pay has declined during this period.

Judging from the consumer confidence index, this year has dropped to a higher level than last year.

Clothing is not necessarily purchased. When the macro-economic situation is optimistic and the income level of residents rises, the demand will obviously increase, otherwise, it will be obviously suppressed.

From the change of monthly prices of clothing products retail prices of large garment retail enterprises in China, the clothing consumer price index has been declining. Last month, the monthly index of seven months exceeded one hundred and twenty, compared with one hundred and twenty in the first half of this year.

It is estimated that China's garment manufacturers will adjust their market supply plans in the second half of this year, and the volume of products will be lower than that in the first half of the year.

Together with the Olympic Games, mid autumn holidays, eleven golden week and new year's day in the second half of the year, the overall situation of China's domestic clothing market should be better than the first half.
