    Chen Linsang, deputy director of the Jiaxing Customs Processing Trade Documentation Department, told reporters that even though the processing trade with the highest dependence on overseas markets, many industries still have no growth in export growth.

    From the results of the survey of the export situation of the top 50 processing trade enterprises completed by Jiaxing customs just now, although nearly 35% of the enterprises indicated that there were different degrees of decline in exports in the second half of this year, furniture, electronics and other industries were greatly affected by the economic crisis, but clothing, electromechanical, rubber and plastic export enterprises generally believed that they were "in good condition".

    As the city's first survey of the impact of the global financial crisis, the survey covers electronics, rubber, plastics, chemicals, clothing, textiles, furniture, leather, machinery and electricity and other major export industries in our city.

    Among them, 11 enterprises in the mechanical and electrical industry, 6 export growth from 1 to November this year, down by only 3, and the garment industry, except for 1 enterprises, has declined slightly, and the export of other enterprises has steadily increased.

    Chen Linsang believes that the large enterprises in our traditional industries, such as clothing, can actively develop two domestic and foreign markets by means of strong capital, sound industrial chains and stable customers.

    At present, the strong demand of "Jiaxing manufacturing" in the low and middle end countries such as the United States has created an opportunity for enterprises to polish their brands and seize the market.

    "Jiaxing is expected to become Shenzhen's second sourcing point in China after Shenzhen."

    General manager of Vol. Li, vice president of plastics, said that although the market in the crisis is uneven and uncertain, it will catch up with the "WAL-MART" express and welcome the spring policy. "Made in Jiaxing" will shine in the cold winter.

    Perhaps the best time to polish up the "made in Jiaxing" is to keep up with the sound of policy.

    For this new round of adjustment of China's exports triggered by the global economic crisis, Professor Shi Minyin, vice president of the school of economics, Jiaxing University, saw the turning point of the rapid development of Jiaxing's enterprises from the pressure from the market.

    According to the data released by the US Department of Commerce, sales of motor vehicles and spare parts dropped by 5.5% in October, retail sales of furniture stores decreased by 2.5%, retail sales of electrical and electronic products decreased by 2.3%, and grocery retail sales decreased by 0.4%.     Shi Minyin believes that when the export of all kinds of high-end goods and luxury goods is in an unprecedented crisis due to the global market atrophy, the export enterprises of traditional industries such as clothing in our city may be suffering from "a blessing in disguise" because of the growth of rigid demand: the crisis purifies the export market and makes competition slow down, and stable orders from large customers make exports steady growth.

    In the face of the current export correction period, Jiaxing enterprises can make full use of the rigid demand in the international market, practise "internal strength", polish the "made in Jiaxing" with cheap products, and look forward to seeing the rainbow soon after the storm.
