Vietnam'S Shoes And Raw Materials Are Mostly Imported From China Than 40%-45%.

Leather, shoemaking and bag and suitcase Association say, the raw material of shoemaking accounts for 68 - 75% of the cost of shoes, but the proportion of Vietnam shoe raw materials is only 40-45%.

Reported that, at present, Vietnamese shoe making enterprises have less than 30% of domestic leather.

Most domestic leather making enterprises are private enterprises, using domestic leather raw materials, the quality of products is not high, and they fail to meet export standards.

Foreign (FDI) skinning enterprises from Korea, mainland China and Taiwan have a large scale, although the number of enterprises only accounts for 31% of the total leather manufacturing enterprises in Vietnam, but they produce 57% high-quality leather.

In addition, almost all shoe making equipment in Vietnam relies on imports, mainly from Korea, mainland China and Taiwan.

Vietnam leather footwear industry presents positive signals, foreign investment expands

Nike, Adidas and Puma and other leading footwear companies have shifted orders from China and Bangladesh to Vietnamese enterprises.

It is one of the ten largest exporters of shoes in the world and is the second largest source of shoe imports in the United States.

Vietnam's Ministry of industry and trade data showed that in the 1-7 month of this year, Vietnam's shoes output was 150 million 400 thousand pairs, an increase of 19.5% over the same period last year, and the export volume of shoes was 5 billion 750 million dollars, up 22% from the same period last year.

Among them, the Vietnamese shoe production in July was 21 million 900 thousand pairs, an increase of 10.4% over the same period last year.
