Unlike the annual Designer Awards released annually by CFDA, the foundation awards have been attracting new fashion designers from the United States.
Apart from being able to "identify", winners can also get generous venture capital and business support.
Today, Alexander Wang, Phillip Lim, Joseph Altuzarra and Proenza Schouler are all the beneficiaries of this award.
Paul Andrew, a shoe designer born in New York and raised in Britain, won the grand prize and the $300 thousand prize. His personal brand was just created this spring.
Born in England, he grew up with all kinds of things.
Decorative materials
To deal with it, his father decorated the Windsor Castle for the Queen's interior decorating and furniture business. He looked at his father in his childhood to study various materials and made him interested in textiles and decorative materials.
When he graduated from Berkshire College of art and design, he got the shoe design and accessories design award from his graduation design. Then he began to apprentice in the studio of Alexander McQueen.

"Alexander McQueen has an amazing understanding of ideas and sketches. Whatever you show him, it will eventually be pformed beyond your imagination.
He opened my eyes and taught me to jump out of the limits and think.
However, his parents put pressure on him to get a paid job, so he joined the design team of Narciso Rodriguez and Calvin Klein. After that, he followed Calvin Klein to participate in the design work, and Calvin Klein's clean and concise design style also had a deep influence on him.
And when he started working at Donna Karan, he began to focus on how to make high heels more comfortable.
Today, the award is dedicated to handwork, and his exquisite and comfortable high-heeled shoes range from $595 to $3000.
A veteran buyer comment commented: "he is the gentleman who is taking root in this industry. He is the heir of Manolo Blahnik."
