Liu Jianguo, President of Shandong garment industry association, said at the first Qilu International Fashion Week forum held recently, that Shandong will promote clothing enterprises to adapt to the new normal economic situation and bring business opportunities brought by the new economic normal to achieve the leap from "manufacturing products" to "making brands", from "combined manufacturing" to "quality manufacturing".

Liu Jianguo revealed that although the output of garment industry in the province has been rising and rising, the fluctuation of foreign trade export has risen, but sales revenue is still downward obviously, and economic returns are recovering weakly.
According to Liu Jianguo, from 1 to October this year, the province's garment enterprises above Designated Size realized 2 billion 495 million output, down 0.02% compared with the same period last year, and the trend of decline since July began to be reversed.
The total sales revenue of garment enterprises above Designated Size reached 185 billion 738 million yuan, an increase of 11.22% over the same period last year, which is 2.64 percentage points higher than the national average growth rate.
But judging from the trend of the whole year, the downward trend is very obvious.
The economic benefits of enterprises are also not optimistic.
From 1 to October, the garment enterprises above Designated Size achieved a total profit of 17 billion 658 million yuan, up 11.59% from the same period last year, and the total profit was 11 billion 134 million yuan, up 7.07% from the same period last year.
At the end of the year, total profits and taxes increased slightly.
"In the great situation of entering the new normal economy, the clothing industry has also entered a new normal market with rational stability and long-term stable growth, and a critical period of adjustment and pformation. It has begun to change the status of epitaxial growth and enter a new stage of connotative growth."
Wang Zhuo, vice president of China Apparel Association, said that the grim situation faced by Shandong's clothing enterprises is similar to that of most domestic garment enterprises. We must adapt ourselves to the new normal as soon as possible and speed up pformation and upgrading.

As a matter of fact, there are many garment enterprises in Shandong that have already undergone pformation and upgrading.

Ding Cailing, executive director of Ruyi group, Shandong, has introduced two complete textile and garment industry chains from cotton spinning, wool spinning to clothing brand, and its enterprises have spread throughout Japan, Australia, New Zealand, India, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and other countries and regions.
Wang Wei, general manager of red collar group, said that the current number of customized orders for red collar has increased by more than 150% over the same period.
When other enterprises are still competing for the order, the red collar group has begun the pformation and upgrading road. It invested 260 million yuan for 11 years, and built the big data system. Finally, it realized the mode of using the Internet thinking and 3D printing mode to start the advanced customization innovation, and completely subverted the traditional workshop tailoring concept.
Lu Xiao, Professor of Management School of Fudan University, said that building Chinese clothing boutique brand requires four core elements: continuous innovation on the basis of Chinese traditional culture; brand must make the world's top quality craft level; brand must possess world-class professional team; brand strategy formulation and brand centered management.
