    In December 12, 2005, the minimum export price of bananas was implemented through the 32837-MAG-MEIC-COMEX law.

    Law 2762nd deals with preferential tax rates for coffee exports.

    In February 5, 1996, the 7575th law (Forest Law) laid down the lowest price calculation method for unprocessed timber exports.

    Costa Rica prohibits imports of arms, ammunition, waste tires and blood.

    On the export side, Costa Rica restricts exports to articles related to culture, art, archaeology and historical heritage in accordance with the "International Conference on endangered species of Wild Fauna and flora", "control of pnational pfer of hazardous wastes and its handling of the Basel conference" and "Montreal Treaty on substances harmful to the ozone layer".
