Travel Investment: Closer Integration Of Business Travel And Business Development Goals

Senior managers are also more active in participating in the retrospective evaluation of travel projects.
According to 43% of top management, they participated in the retrospective assessment at least once a month, and this data increased significantly compared with 32% in two years ago.
The survey also shows that domestic and foreign travel expenses have basically remained unchanged, but the expenditure for purely overseas business travel has increased by 6% over the same period last year.
Due to the increasingly extensive international vision of Chinese companies and the continuous expansion of overseas expansion, the number of business trips abroad has increased significantly in recent years.
According to the survey, general meetings, incentive tours, large enterprise conferences and exhibitions (MICE) still play an important role in the development of the company's business.
Last year, the number of exhibition activities increased overall: 32% of the companies carried out three or more exhibition activities in the past 12 months, compared with 17% in the previous year and 19% in last year.
This means that although the economic slowdown has inevitably affected exhibition activities in the past few years, the exhibition industry has maintained a slow and steady upward trend.

This behavior is becoming more common.
However, only half of the companies (42%) use specialized business tools, and most companies still rely on the general travel agency website.

They want to increase the related expenses and use technology to make travel items more efficient.

The relationship between the company and the travel agency is also becoming more and more closely related. They seek greater efficiency by seeking expert advice and professional tools.
The barometer of China business travellers is an annual report on the status quo of China's business travel market and the forecast of its future development trend.
In 2015, a total of 188 top Chinese executives were surveyed.
They came from small businesses ranging from 100 to less than 500 or more.
These enterprises are distributed in the main economic regions of China, such as Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Wuhan.
Most of the companies surveyed are in manufacturing, technology, financial services and pharmaceutical industries.
