Amazon Or The First Apparel Retailer In The United States Has Made Outstanding Achievements.
Usually, when shopping through Amazon, many consumers will not think that Amazon also runs the category of clothing.
At present, Amazon is trying to change this concept.
R.W.Baird analysts at the US investment bank pointed out that in the holiday season in 2015, the category of clothing items on Amazon's website increased by 91% from year to year, to 30 million.
This is equivalent to the sum of goods sold by some 250 WAL-MART super shopping centers (not only clothing items), but also more than the types of electronic products on Amazon platform.
In terms of the speed of category expansion, the annual growth rate of clothing products ranks the highest, reaching 91%, second only to mobile phones and accessories (annual growth rate of 281%) and home gardening (annual growth rate of 110%), higher than that of household gardening.

Toys, games and appliances are also higher than Amazon's average growth rate of 52%.
The report shows that in the past two years,

Self catering and third party clothing stocks (SKU) on the platform rose from 11 million to 30 million, with a quarterly compound growth rate of 15%.
So why should Amazon actively develop clothing categories in the United States?

According to Securities Research Company's Cowen&Co data, Amazon will probably exceed Messi's department store next year to become the first fashion retailer in the United States.
