The total investment of the project is 330 million yuan, and will be completed in three phases. At that time, 80 thousand mu of artificial Apocynum planting base will be built in the middle and lower reaches of the Tarim River, and 310 thousand pieces of bedding will be processed annually.

Statistics show that Apocynum venetum has strong resistance to stress, and is a typical halophyte. The wild Apocynum venetum distributed in Xinjiang is the first in the country, about 8 million mu, accounting for 46%. It is mainly distributed in Korla and Aletai, and is divided into two kinds: linseed and kenaf.

Previously, it was mostly made into tea and other health care products, mainly for food. Although in the 80s of last century, Japan and other countries had developed the technology of Apocynum venetum, they were subject to the bottleneck of peeling and degumming process and left the field.

At the end of the last century, Xinjiang Posey num Biotechnology Co., Ltd. began to devotes itself to the research and development of apocynum fiber textile technology. After more than ten years, it finally conquered the technical difficulties of peeling and degumming, and made bedding, clothing shirts and other products.

According to the inspection report of the national textile products quality supervision and inspection center, the apocynum products have far infrared properties.

Apocynum venetum clothing has the characteristics of good air permeability, strong hygroscopicity, bacteriostasis, warm in winter and cool in summer. It is suitable for processing bedding products, summer fabrics and high-grade clothing, household clothing, underwear and other products, and plays a role in preventing and curing diseases.

Yang Donghui, consultant of China Textile Industry Federation, said the apocynum fiber textile base was located in Xinjiang. It realized the technical difficulties of Apocynum breeding, cotton blending, fiber making and degumming, and filled the blank area of the whole world apocynum fiber manufacturing.

Up to now, more than 20 textile enterprises have been settled, 4 million 500 thousand spinning projects are being built, and the scale of production and operation is 1 million 600 thousand spindles. With the continuous commissioning and commissioning of the existing equipment, it is estimated that the production scale will be 2 million 600 thousand spindles at the end of March.
