In 2015, the total investment trade between Quanzhou and Thailand amounted to about 500 million US dollars.

Therefore, Li Guokun believes that the international economic cooperation between Quanzhou and Thailand can give full play to its unique location and resource advantages, and make use of the preferential tariff policy between ASEAN and the European and American markets and the advantages of no trade barriers to make the products more convenient to ASEAN and the rest of the world.

Qiu Tatai said that the Thailand government set up a special economic zone on the border of Thailand. Enterprises that invest in and trade in these special economic zones will receive tax waiver, allow foreign workers to be employed, and deduct and reduce the cost of pportation and water and electricity.

He also revealed that next year the consulate will hold a rich cultural festival in Quanzhou, including exhibitions on commodities, cultural and artistic performances in Thailand, Thai boxing and so on, to promote economic and cultural exchanges between China and Thailand, especially Thailand and Thailand.
