More than 10 well-known experts and scholars including 3 academicians will attend a series of activities, including 120 provincial and foreign textile and garment enterprises, and jointly seek to improve the quality of Hubei's textile and clothing industry.

The press conference focused on the series of activities and reports of the "Hubei apparel industry" organized by the Joint Inspection Bureau of Chutian Jinbao this year. It is believed that the activity has found the gap between the Han style clothing from the brand positioning, business philosophy, cultural elements, technological innovation, quality control, and modern logistics, and explored a new path for the development of Han style clothing.

The press conference revealed that at present, the main business income of the textile industry above the province ranks seventh in the country, second in the six provinces in the central region, and the growth rate ranks fourth in the country.

In the past two years, supervision and spot checks and enforcement inspections conducted by the Provincial Quality Supervision Bureau showed that in 2015, the passing rate of textile and garment supervision and spot checks was 75.4%, and 92.2% in 2016. The pass rate increased year by year, and no systematic, regional and large-scale quality safety accidents were found. Supervision and spot checks and law enforcement inspections further showed the effect of improving product quality.

In the past two years, 4 aspects of quality problems have been found in the supervision and spot checks and inspection of textiles and clothing in the province.

Textile fabric content is the most important problem.

In the past two years, 1114 batches of supervision and spot checks and law enforcement inspections were conducted, and 318 batches were not qualified. Among them, 171 batches of unqualified ingredients accounted for 53.8% of the total number of unqualified batches.

The reason is related to weak inspection ability and strict supervision.

In addition, basic safety indicators such as pH value, formaldehyde content, color fastness to perspiration, unfastness to dry rubbing fastness, nonstandard marking, quality of workmanship and so on exist in varying degrees.

With the diversity of consumption demand, some functional garments on the market appear to be inferior.
