The thirty-fourth International Federation of Leather Technologists and Chemists Association (IULTCS) was held in Chennai City, India.

More than 300 representatives from 29 countries and regions including India, France, Brazil, Argentina, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, India, Japan and China Taiwan participated in the conference.

China Leather Association organizes China leather and footwear industry research institute, Shaanxi University of Science and Technology, Qilu Industrial University, Henan Leather Industry Association, Tianbao Hui Zhen (Tianjin) science and Technology Co., Ltd., baosca (Shangqiu) Chemical Industry Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Shiling leather Leather Industry Research Center Co., Ltd., Beijing pan Bo chemical Limited by Share Ltd and other units 24 people, the Chinese delegation, by the China Leather Association Chairman

The theme of this conference is "promoting the sustainable development of leather industry through science and technology". The challenges faced by the leather industry in sustainable development are discussed, including how to deal with harsh environmental regulations and social negative views, promote low carbon emissions, and enhance the training of talents in the industry.

Around the above topics, the conference screened 42 papers from the conference papers as oral speeches, and more than 220 articles as exhibition papers.

Among them, China has 6 oral speeches and 39 papers.

The topics include basic research in leather technology, sustainable development strategy in the industry, innovation and added value in leather industry, development of chemicals in intelligent leather production, design innovation of leather products, technical research on pollutant emission control, Ti Gaosheng production efficiency,

During the conference, leather science and technology workers from various countries displayed the latest scientific and technological research achievements in various fields of leather industry through oral speeches and posters.

At the meeting, the Chinese delegation also briefed delegates on the preparations for the Eleventh Asian International Leather Technology Conference to be held in China in 2018, and invited all of you to attend the meeting.

Before the conference, IULTCS organized the IULTCS Executive Committee and the Environmental Protection Committee (IUE) meeting. The chairman of the China Leather Association Li Yuzhong and the Secretary General Chen Zhanguang attended the meeting on behalf of the Chinese delegation.
