Italy women's clothing brand Liu Jo announced the listing plan of IPO company at the end of 2017. Although the plan will be temporarily shelved, Liu Jo is still expanding vigorously, will launch a new environmental protection denim garment series and open more stores in the European market.
Liu Jo, founded in 1995, is headquartered in Carpi Town, Italy. It was mainly made of textile products, and then gradually developed into a garment based brand.
Currently, there are 480 single brand stores and 5300 multi brand retail outlets in about 50 countries.
In fiscal year 2017, sales of Liu Jo amounted to 328 million euros, up 8% from the same period last year, of which 40% of sales came from the international market.
In March 2017, Liu Jo successfully completed a 130 million euro restructuring of capital and established a new management and financial structure.
Marco Marchi, co-founder and President of Liu Jo, said at the end of 2017 that it plans to launch on the Borsa Italiana Italy stock exchange in 1 and a half years to 2 years, when sales in 2018 were expected to exceed 400 million euros.
Marco Marchi said it will temporarily shelve this goal: "the listing process will be temporarily suspended due to the sharp fluctuations in the stock market.
For Liu Jo, listing is an opportunity, not an obligation, so we are more willing to wait for the macroeconomic situation to stabilize before listing again.
Although the listing plan has been suspended, Liu Jo is still actively launching new products.
2019-2020 in autumn and winter, Liu Jo will launch its first environmental cowboy series, including 13 women's dresses.
They worked with fabric company Candiani to develop a product using Kitotex technology, greatly reducing the use of water, chemicals and energy.
By using the Indigo Juice technology of Candiani, the water and energy consumption can be reduced during the cleaning process, and the cleaning effect will not be affected and the product will not be damaged.
In addition, labels and packaging materials and production technologies also focus on sustainable development.
In retail, Liu Jo opened its first single brand store in Vienna in the summer of 2018, and opened a new store in Innsbruck, Austria in a few weeks.
Liu Jo also opened its first single brand store in Belgrade, capital of Serbia, and will enter the Russian market.
Liu Jo has operated 15 stores and 7 retail outlets in Russia through its local partners, and will open its first direct store in St Petersburg in March next year.
Marco Marchi said: "Russia is a key market for us. Our sales here have been increasing over the past few years, and the response of Liu Jo has been good here. We have confidence in this."
France is the main export market for Liu Jo. In March 2018, Liu Jo opened a new store in Dijon, France, and opened a new store in the summer of Bastia.
At present, the total number of Liu Jo stores in France is 28, and there are 13 retail outlets.
Marco Marchi said: "in the spring of 2019, we plan to open two new stores in France, which are located in Perpignan and La R union respectively."
In addition, Liu Jo also said it intends to open stores in several new markets such as Switzerland this year.
