2018 Wenzhou Import And Export Data: Clothing Shoes And Hats Imports Fell Sharply

Wenzhou Customs announced the import and export data of our city in 2018. Last year, the import and export volume was 150 billion 715 million yuan, an increase of 13.58% over the same period last year. The growth rate in Zhoushan, Huzhou and Jiaxing ranked fourth in the whole province.

Among them, exports amounted to 130 billion 243 million yuan, an increase of 12.50% over the previous year, ranking third in the whole province, and 20 billion 472 million yuan in imports, an increase of 20.91% over the previous year, ranking fourth in the whole province.

The export of high-tech products increased considerably.

Mechanical and electrical products, shoes, clothing, spectacles and other commodities are the top ten categories of products exported by our city. Among them, the export of electromechanical products ranks first in terms of export volume of 60 billion 147 million yuan.

From the perspective of growth, 5 of the top ten categories of commodities exported to China last year achieved two digit growth, followed by metal products, machinery and equipment, mechanical and electrical products, glasses, instruments and meters, and exports of metal products increased by 25.99%.

Zheng Zhiyuan, chairman of Wenzhou Guan Hao glasses Co., Ltd., said that last year, Wenzhou's spectacle exports were coming to a new year, with an annual export volume of 7 billion 253 million yuan, an increase of 13.55% over the same period last year, and a further expansion of the market share in the EU market, especially in the Italy market.

"The growth of exports to India last year is also very large in emerging markets."

Wenzhou's high-tech products have also begun to be favored by foreign customers.

It is understood that the import of ferroalloys is mainly from Qingshan holding group.

However, last year, the imported raw materials of Qingshan holding group were pformed into two types: billet, crude forgings and steel.

Data show that steel imports increased by 866.5% over the same period last year.

Last year, there were also CNC machine tools and metalworking machine tools, which increased by 15.46 times and 3.56 times compared with that of steel imports.

Among the nearly 20 categories of consumer goods listed in Wenzhou customs, only seven categories such as food, tobacco, alcohol, sanitary ware and kitchenware, cosmetics, meat, fruits and nuts, culture and entertainment, and other commodities increased year by year, while the import of other commodities decreased. The import volume of furniture and lotion products dropped by four or five compared with the same period last year.

Wenzhou customs officials said that the import of consumer goods in our city mainly depends on wine and beer, accounting for the vast majority of imports of food, tobacco and alcohol.

Clothing and clothing shoes and hats imports have been relatively large.

However, the import volume of these two commodities decreased last year.
