    Polyplastics recently introduced a new type of PBT resin, which is reported to have excellent anti alkali stress cracking properties and suitable for various automotive applications.

    The new Duranex 532AR resin also exhibits excellent resistance to hydrolysis and thermal shock, and can meet the electrical performance of chassis and engine compartment components.

     

    Duranex 532AR has strong toughness and alkali resistance.

    With the increasing requirements for durability, safety, and reliability of automotive parts, Duranex 532AR reduces the risk of cracking of molded parts by preventing alkali infiltration into the resin, thereby enhancing toughness and helping to produce less stress.

    Alkaline substances can be rusted by metal parts.

    Duranex 532AR is treated with hydrolysis resistant formula, which has better durability than standard materials.

    Recent experimental evaluation showed that when the samples were soaked in alkali, the standard materials Duranex 3300 and Duranex 531HS, which were resistant to hydrolysis and heat shock, cracked within two hours.

    However, even if Duranex 532AR is immersed for 200 hours, no stress cracking will occur.

    Electronic components and sensors installed near the engine are usually metal inserts, which may cause thermal shock fracture when the temperature suddenly changes.

    This is because the linear expansion coefficient of metal and resin is about 10 times different.

    Duranex 532AR has excellent thermal shock resistance and can withstand harsh environments.

    It is reported that Duranex 532AR is an ideal material for components installed in chassis and vehicle areas, which can be exposed to water and mud and contact with chemicals such as snowmelt agents.

    The components made of this new type of resin have high reliability and long service life even under harsh conditions.
