According to Urumqi customs statistics, the export volume of textile yarn, fabrics and products at Xinjiang port in the 1 quarter of 2019 amounted to 1 billion 209 million yuan, down 23.05% from the same period last year. The export amount of clothing and accessories was 5 billion 258 million yuan, a decrease of 10.73% compared to the same period last year; the export amount of textile machinery and parts was 157 million yuan, an increase of 367.71% over the same period last year.

In the 1 quarter of 2019, the amount of imports of cotton at Xinjiang port was 502 million yuan, an increase of 39.67% over the same period last year. The total import of textile yarn, fabrics and products was 41 million yuan, an increase of 1.50% over the same period last year. The import value of textile machinery and parts was 96 million yuan, a decrease of 43.16% over the same period last year.
