Building The "Destiny Community" Of The World Textile Education "International Textile And Garment Vocational Education Alliance"

"Textile town" and "hometown of education" constitute the "fate community" of world textile education.

In May 25th, about 700 people from governments, universities, enterprises and industry representatives from 17 countries and regions gathered in Nantong to jointly cooperate in international textile and garment vocational education and witness the establishment of the International Federation of textile and clothing vocational education.

The International Federation of textile and clothing vocational education is composed of 14 institutions, namely, the China Textile and clothing education association, the Jiangsu engineering Career Technical College, and 17 Foreign Vocational Schools in Burma, Yangon Industrial University, 17 domestic vocational colleges, and more than 20 domestic and foreign textile enterprises and related institutions. The purpose is to set up an international education exchange platform for the global textile and garment vocational colleges, applied science and technology universities, textile industry leading enterprises and educational associations. It takes the integration of production and education as the main line, professional construction as the focal point, institutional mechanism exploration and innovation as the breakthrough point, and promotes the reform of personnel training mode, the enhancement of scientific research ability, the enhancement of social service ability, and the enhancement of international cooperation and communication ability.

Gao Yong, Secretary of the China Textile Industry Federation, told reporters that last year, China's fiber processing volume was about 54 million 600 thousand tons, accounting for more than half of the world's total, and China's textile and clothing exports accounted for 36% of the world's total. The annual output of Chinese clothing was equivalent to providing nearly 7 clothing for 7 billion people worldwide.

Jiangsu has thousands of textile products and its clothes are covered by the world.

The scale of Jiangsu's textile industry has been more than 1 trillion and 500 billion yuan for 7 consecutive years since 2010, and its main business income accounts for about 1/5 of the whole country. There are more than 7000 textile enterprises and about 3000000 employees in the province.

In recent years, Jiangsu textile enterprises have speeded up the layout of the countries along the "one belt and one road", accelerated the pace of "going out", shifted from "product export" to "investment guidance", and pferred from "OEM" to "brand output", and invested 84 industrial projects along the route along the belt.

Cao Yumei, deputy director of the provincial education department, told reporters at the meeting point that at the beginning of this year, the State Council promulgated the "national vocational education reform implementation plan", calling for the promotion of the substantive operation of the Vocational Education Alliance, the development of the international common professional standards and curriculum system, and the creation of the international brand of China's vocational education.

In 2017, the Jiangsu engineering Career Technical College, supported by the China Textile Industry Federation and the China Textile Education Association, took the lead in establishing the China Textile and garment vocational education group, and set up a platform for docking and dialogue between industry and education.

Nantong is a famous "textile town" and "the hometown of education".

Guo Yihao, director of Nantong Education Bureau, told reporters that the world textile and garment vocational education alliance was established in Nantong, which will provide new momentum for the promotion and upgrading of the textile and garment industry. Under the background of "20 reforms in Vocational Education" and 1 million people in the higher vocational colleges, it will have more positive significance for promoting the development of higher vocational schools.

"In 1912, Zhang Jian founded the first textile specialized school in China, namely the predecessor of the Jiangsu engineering Career Technical College, which pported tens of thousands of talents to China's textile and garment industry."

Bao Gangjian, Secretary of the Jiangsu Engineering Committee of Career Technical College, told reporters that the division's strength was strong: the modern textile technology training base with central financial support, the National Vocational Training Center for home textile designers, the training base for Chinese textile and clothing high skilled personnel, the advanced textile engineering and Technology Center of the province, the provincial household textile and clothing engineering technology research and development center, and so on. In the national textile and garment vocational college's highest specification competition, the national costume design and craft vocational school skills competition, a total of 22 first prize were awarded, and 10 students were awarded the "national vocational skills pacesetter" honorary title, the number of gold medals was the first in the country.

The International Union of textile and dyeing artists was established in the morning.

The international joint exhibition on anti pollution art was held at the 53 Art Museum in Nantong, featuring 127 works from 13 artists and 65 teachers and students from Germany, Austria, Belgium, Japan and other countries and regions.
