Announcement Of The National Bureau Of Statistics On Cotton Output In 2019

Based on a statistical survey of 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) in the country (Xinjiang cotton planting area was obtained by remote sensing measurement), the cotton planting area, unit area output and total output in 2019 were as follows:

First, the cotton planting area in China is 3 million 339 thousand and 200 hectares (50 million 88 thousand mu), which is 15 thousand and 200 hectares (228 thousand mu) lower than that in 2018, a decrease of 0.5%.

Two, the output of cotton per unit area in China is 1763.7 kg / ha (117.6 kg / mu), a decrease of 55.6 kg / ha (3.7 kg / mu) and a decrease of 3.1% compared with 2018.

Three, the total output of cotton in China is 5 million 889 thousand tons, a decrease of 213 thousand tons compared with that in 2018 and a decrease of 3.5%.

Cotton production in the whole country and provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) in 2019

1, due to the problem of automatic carry in the decimal computer, the total number of provinces is slightly different from that of the whole country.

2, cotton production in Beijing, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Shanghai, Fujian, Guizhou and Yunnan has not been listed because of less than 1 thousand tons; Jilin, Heilongjiang, Guangdong, Guangdong, Guangdong, Heilongjiang, China, and other provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) do not have cotton production.
