Tianjin University Of Technology Held Interdisciplinary Forum On Advanced Fiber Materials And Cutting Edge Textile Technology

Recently, the textile future technology research center of Tianjin University of technology held an interdisciplinary forum on advanced fiber materials and cutting-edge textile technology with the theme of "cross integration and joint creation of first-class". Chen Li, executive vice president and director of textile future technology research center, and vice president Liu Yi attended the forum and delivered speeches. Nearly 100 teachers and students from college of textile science and engineering, School of materials science and engineering, and College of chemical engineering and technology attended the forum.

Executive Vice President Chen Li delivered an opening speech. She pointed out that since its establishment, the textile future technology research center has focused on the forefront of textile discipline development and promoted interdisciplinary and integration. Advanced fiber materials and modern textile technology, as one of the six major development directions of this discipline, covers the knowledge of textile, materials, machinery, chemical industry, environment and other disciplines. This academic forum aims to promote the collaborative cooperation of various disciplines and stimulate the endogenous development momentum. It plays an important role in cultivating leading talents in textile science and technology with high quality, building university subject platform with high standards, producing subversive innovative technologies at a high level, and transforming forward-looking scientific research achievements with high efficiency.

In the forum report, Professor Zhang Yongjun, director of advanced fiber materials and cutting-edge textile technology, Professor Zhang Xingxiang, deputy director of Engineering Department of Tianjin University of technology and Professor Liu Yong, executive vice president of School of textile science and engineering, made keynote reports. The report covers the key research fields of advanced fiber materials and cutting-edge textile technology, batch preparation and modification of high-performance fibers, structural design evolution and application of nanofibers, basic modification theory and application of new materials, bionic surface design technology and application, etc., fully showing the future and development trend of advanced fiber and cutting-edge Textile Technology.
