Intangible Cultural Heritage: Guizhou Gufa Gelao Printing And Dyeing Exhibition Series Activities Held In Guiyang

On September 11, "Continuation and Renewal - Guizhou Gufa Gelao Printing and Dyeing Exhibition Series" was held in Guizhou Provincial Library.

Guizhou Gufa Gelao Printing and Dyeing Exhibition exhibited 19 pairs of finished printing and dyeing products, 21 printing and dyeing patterns from the late Qing Dynasty to the early Republic of China, as well as printing and dyeing production tools, production flow charts, village photos, etc. The revival of printing and dyeing technology in Shiqian County, Tongren City is described, and the process of printing and dyeing technology is introduced in detail.

The activity was hosted by Guizhou Provincial Library, Guizhou Provincial Library Society, and co organized by Guiyang Handheld Memory Museum and Guizhou Anthropology Society.

At the activity site, a short film of Guizhou Gelao Printing and Dyeing was broadcast; Through the form of reading and reading together, I read the selected passages of the text of "Revived Gelao Printing and Dyeing"; Guests present exchanged views on printing and dyeing skills, cultural relics exhibition, inheritor development, etc., and the atmosphere was warm.

Ma Fang, deputy director of the Research and Exhibition Center for the Collection of National Cultural Relics of Guizhou Provincial Museum of Nationalities, said.

In the afternoon of the same day, the exhibition series also held Gelao Printing and Dyeing Experience Activity, where 30 free registered audience participated in the most important scraping and dyeing steps in the printing and dyeing production skills. Through printing and dyeing process experience activities, the audience can further understand the production process of printing and dyeing process and the rich cultural connotation behind it.
