L'Oreal's affinity with the Expo comes from a letter in 2018.
This letter explains that China is preparing to host the Expo and hopes to invite foreign businessmen to share China's development opportunities.
An Gong, then Chairman and CEO of L'Oreal China, read the letter and his first reaction was "this idea is great". L'Oreal soon became one of the first "fans" to enter the Expo, and was the first to enter the Expo.
As the "resident guest" of the Expo and the rotating chairman of the Council of the Exhibitor Alliance for five consecutive terms, L'Oreal Group will participate in the Expo for the seventh consecutive year in 2024, and again serve as the "double chairman" of the chairman of the Expo Alliance and the chairman unit of the Consumer Products Professional Committee.

Exhibits, commodities and explosives
The reason why L'Oreal firmly chose to enter the Expo is that L'Oreal is full of confidence in China's future development. L'Oreal customizes the theme for the exhibition every year, bringing them into the Expo from the latest trend of global "pick" and new brands, new products, new technologies and new ideas that most appeal to Chinese consumers.
Today, the Expo has become L'Oreal's "top class" project in the world, and the preferred platform for L'Oreal's global debut of new products and technology.
In the past seven years, L'Oreal has launched nearly 20 new international brands and dozens of cosmetics "black technology" at the Expo. Many new products have changed from "exhibits to commodities, and from commodities to explosives" on the Expo platform.

L'Oreal is deeply involved in the Expo and continues to increase its weight. In 2024, L'Oreal will set up the largest single booth in the daily chemical consumer goods industry of the 7th China International Fair, create a main booth full of "art" on the 672 square meter stage, and present a beautiful feast integrating technology, culture and art to the audience.
At that time, not only will there be the debut of global new products, popular beauty technology and sustainable consumption cross-border cooperation projects, but L'Oreal will also decode the scientific "art" behind the four categories of skin care, cosmetics, hair beauty and perfume.

The Expo is not only a stage for global new products and technology debut, but also a grand event that spans different cultures and promotes international exchanges and cooperation. The year 2024 coincides with the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France. France will appear at the Expo as the guest of honor, not only demonstrating the long-standing friendship between China and France to the world, but also fully demonstrating the fruitful results of practical cooperation between China and France.
As a witness and participant of the Sino French friendship, L'Oreal will enter the French Pavilion, and present the "one family/one child" of the Sino French friendship with practical actions, so that French elegance and Chinese charm can complement each other, and jointly compose the music of Sino French cooperation.
Sharing, co creation and win-win
The cooperation story at the Expo has been continuing. In 2019, L'Oreal met the Oriental Beauty Valley at the second Expo, jointly initiated the "BIG BANG Cosmetic Technology Innovation Plan", created a win-win situation with start-ups with cutting-edge technology, and promoted the open innovation of cosmetics technology.
In April 2023, during French President Maklon's visit to China, the French track in the "BIG BANG Beauty Technology Innovation Plan" was officially upgraded to a Sino French strategic project under the witness of the ministers of the two countries. One year later, Oriental Valley signed a strategic cooperation memorandum with CTIBIOTECH, the winner of the 2023 BIG BANG China France track, which will help CTIBIOTECH enter the Chinese market. The conclusion of this cooperation further demonstrates the "spillover effect" of the Expo.
The Expo welcomes industry leaders to bring their own "black technology", and strongly supports start-ups to bring their own expertise to this world-class stage.
The Expo supports "openness, cooperation, innovation and win-win", which coincides with L'Oreal's BIG BANG project. In 2023, L'Oreal's BIG BANG project will successfully expand from China to Japan and South Korea. By taking this opportunity, L'Oreal invited innovative enterprises from Japan, South Korea and France to join the Expo to explore the infinite opportunities in the Chinese market.

These overseas start-ups said that they were deeply impressed by the Expo. Here, they not only felt the vitality and innovative atmosphere of the Chinese market, met like-minded partners and potential partners, but also received policy "service packs" from governments at all levels in China. They are eager to have more "close contact" with China, which supports openness and innovation. Like L'Oreal, they have changed from "first time visitors" to "repeat visitors" and then to "permanent visitors"!

The "spillover effect" of the Expo has made L'Oreal feel the vitality and potential of the Chinese market, and has also strengthened L'Oreal's determination to further develop the Chinese market. In 2024, L'Oreal will increase its investment in the Chinese market. The Smart Operation Center in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province will be officially launched in April 2024, hoping to further meet the increasingly personalized consumption upgrading needs of Chinese consumers.

As an "old friend" of the Expo, L'Oreal will continue to support the Expo. L'Oreal booked the "admission ticket" for the 8th China International Fair at the opening ceremony of the 7th China International Fair.
