    Intel Has Gone Through 35 Years.

    Now, Martinez has become the head of Intel global research laboratory.

    The business of Intel is legendary.

    In the late 1960s, Noyce and Moore served in Fairchild camera and equipment company.

    The company replaced two CEO in six months, and Noyce is the next CEO.

    But Fairchild didn't seem to want to reuse Noyce. Instead, it set up a three member committee to manage the business and hired a recruitment agency to seek a permanent successor from outside the company.

    Noyce decided to leave and asked Mr. Moore to help him set up a new company.

    Mr. Moore recalled, "for the first time, I said," no, "the second time he said," I really want to leave this time. "

    I was also aware of what happened to Fairchild company at that time.

    The two people jointly invested $490 thousand to set up Intel company.

    In 50s, Arthur Rock, a venture capitalist who worked with the two of them in Shockley semiconductor, also invested $10 thousand in Arthur.

    Later, Rock raised an investment from the other eight rebels who had betrayal Shockley and founded Fairchild company.

    The Silicon Valley was born.

    AMD and other start-ups have been established, but Fairchild has not seized the opportunity.

    Grof was one of the employees recruited by Moore. Grof Moore recruited him from the research institute to Fairchild company, and then asked him to enter Intel.

    Mr. Moore said, "I am his only boss."

    Although Intel did not have detailed business plans at the beginning, they wanted to earn $25 million a year in 5 years, Mr Moore recalled.

    But Intel unexpectedly reached $63 million a year.

    Part of the success of Intel is due to the concept of "constructive conflict", CEO Barrett said.

    "If you want to solve a problem, you don't have to jump around this problem."

    People can talk about problems at meetings. "People may be screaming and quarrelling, but they are not screaming at people but screaming at them."

    Barrett said that the most significant representative of Intel's successful management is the relationship between Intel and Japanese enterprises.

    In 80s, Intel's managers flew to Japan to learn the way of management in this country.

    But by the end of the 90s, the Japanese began to learn from Intel.

    Similar to Mr. Moore, Mr Barrett almost failed to accompany the company's growth.

    Barrett used to be a professor at Stanford University. He came to Intel in 70s to undertake a research project.

    After the project was completed, he returned to Stanford University.

    "That's just the middle of the recession," he recalls. "I think this industry is crazy."

    But 5 months later, Barrett returned to Intel.
