Pursuing The First Generation Millionaire'S Entrepreneurial Footprint
August 22nd is the 100th anniversary anniversary of Comrade Deng Xiaoping's birthday.
Recalling the great man and looking back on history, the second generation leaders with Comrade Deng Xiaoping as the core led the Chinese people to carry out the policy of reform and opening to the outside world, emancipating their minds one after another, and feeling the stones across the river again and again, which brought about tremendous changes in China.
In the age of ideological confinement, all private economies are characterized by capitalist nature, and individuals who dare to do business as bosses.
In the early days of reform and opening up, even though the policy was liberalized, many ordinary people still had doubts.
However, look at today, everyone who advocates entrepreneurship, and every one is competing for the boss, let some people get rich first policy really rich.
On this occasion, the newspaper investment version launched this column to trace the entrepreneurial footprints of the first generation of millionaires in Guangzhou, so as to recollect the great men, thus parsing the pioneering spirit of the first pioneers, so as to encourage the latecomers.
1979: the first batch of formal self-employed individuals.
In February, the CPC Central Committee and the State Council approved the first report on the development of the individual economy: "all localities may, according to market needs, obtain the approval of the relevant business authorities to approve some idle labors with official accounts and engage in individual labor of repair, service and handicraftsmen."
Data: 100 thousand industrial and commercial households approved by the whole country in 1979.
There are no more than 1000 households in Guangzhou.
1980: encourage and support the individual economy.
In August, the central government held a national conference on labor and employment, and proposed encouraging and supporting the proper development of individual economy. All law-abiding individual workers should be respected by the society.
1981: self employed can help helpers.
In July, the State Council issued the "policy provisions on non-agricultural individual economy in cities and towns", which required the protection of the legitimate business, legitimate income and assets of self-employed households. It was stipulated that the self-employed persons could receive 1 to 2 helpers, and the individual technicians could not exceed 5 apprentices.
At the end of the year, there were 1 million 10 thousand people in the country.
1982: "protect the individual economy" into the constitution.
In the month of 12, the five session of the Fifth National People's Congress adopted the new constitution, which stipulates: "the individual economy of urban and rural laborers is a supplement to the socialist public sector of the economy.
The state protects the legitimate rights and interests of the individual economy.
Chen Xingchang and his wife have been in Guangzhou for nearly 50 years. Chen Xingchang is used to everything in Guangzhou, but his thick tune is still unchanged.
Although he is 85 years old, Chen Xingchang still manages his children's clothes together with his wife.
From an early age in a clothing store helper skills, 28 years old to Guangzhou, 5 years later, in 1979, by the first dawn of China's reform and opening up, became the first batch of self-employed in Guangzhou.
In 1989, he first got a private business license in Guangzhou, with a number of 0001.
In the early days of the business, Chen Xingchang was a Ningbo native. When she was a tailor in a famous Western-style clothes shop in Shanghai, some brands of western style clothes came from some famous stores in Shanghai.
At that time, the clothing industry in Shanghai was flourishing, and Guangzhou did not improve in this respect.
Then, in 1947, when Chen Xingchang's younger sister went down to Hongkong, he also came to the "virgin land" of Guangzhou's dress.
At first, he was just a "poor boy" who could only work for people.
In 1952, he talked to his equally sophisticated wife and set up a "husband and wife shop", because at that time, people gradually wore no suits, so most of their business was processing fashions.
"But because of handwork, it takes two or three days for a suit, and of course, it is impossible to make big money.
Talking about past hardships, Chen Xingchang just smiled lightly.
However, before the reform and opening up, ordinary people despised the "self-employed", which is beyond the understanding of the commercial society.
When Chen Xingchang talked about it, he immediately smiled and his face became dignified: "now people can not understand the concept of people at that time."
At that time, everyone called him "street boy". His neighbors saw him disagreeable, and few friends approached him.
Even when his son is grown up, it is difficult to find an object, because everyone hears him as the son of "street boy".
Hard and impoverished did not make Chen Xingchang's family abandon the idea of starting an undertaking, but it was not accepted by society, nor respected by others.
After 1979, great changes took place in China.
At that time, there were not many people doing clothing business in Guangzhou, and most of them were still not satisfied with the current situation and did not dare to let go of business.
Chen Xingchang is bold and resolute and resolute. He has been registered with the industry and Commerce Bureau in this year when others are disturbed and disturbed by the new situation. He has become the first batch of formal self-employed individuals in Guangzhou after the reform and opening up.
1980 was one of the four millionaires in Guangzhou, and the country advocated family planning.
Although most families are not rich, their parents put their hearts on their children.
Chen Xingchang is optimistic about this market and began to turn into children's clothing business in 1984.
After 10 years, Chen Xingchang and his wife slept three or four hours a day until the business was on track, and slowly increased the sleep time to 5 hours.
It's difficult to make children's clothing now. It's hard to design the style at that time.
Because there are few specialized children's clothing enterprises in China, and there is no mode to learn, Chen Xingchang used the "foundation" of fashion design to buy learning books from Hongkong and abroad, and then innovated again, gradually creating his own style.
At that time, Guangzhou was one of the earliest open cities in the country. Many visitors from other provinces visited and shoped in Guangzhou.
During the 1981 ~1982, some people even queued up to rush to buy children's clothing overnight.
According to the old Guangzhou people, who are familiar with the changes in Guangzhou's business, around the year 1985, Chen Xingchang and 3 other entrepreneurs were called the 4 millionaires in Guangzhou.
Today, Chen Xingchang's products are exported to overseas and other provinces and cities. Even though he is 85 years old, Chen Xingchang is not old. He said last year he began to try and run a boutique. The result is good. So his next goal is fashion design, production and sales. On the basis of doing a good job in children's clothing, he has to start his own business again.
