    一位企業家到美國某著名大學參加一個短期的 “ 經營管理課進修課程 “ 花費近萬美金,接受大師的指點,回來之后覺得功力大增,深有啟發,與大家分享心得,很高興的說我開悟了!

     

    Enlightenment is a bit of Zen. It means that after a person has been raised by a high priest, he suddenly feels that his cottage is open, and he understands some intelligence that he usually does not have, or suddenly thinks of many things that are puzzled for a long time. He is very happy.

     

    The more successful a man is, the more persistent he is. He sticks to his point of view. He sticks to himself and is right. He persists in his own ability. Even if it seems to be a prejudice by outsiders, but because he has been very successful, he often can not listen to others' opinions, so it will be limited and unable to go further.

     

    An entrepreneur, from the first day of his business, has seen numerous difficulties and challenges, and several crises that almost drowned him. But he was overcome by his firm belief. He has formed an unyielding character and strong self-confidence. He is convinced that his ideas and practices are correct. Even if his method has been lost after implementation, he will not admit his mistake, because no one in the organization dare to point out mistakes. For the sake of fighting five meters, most of the employees choose to leave or silently bear. For a long time, he can not hear different voices, and new wisdom can no longer be produced.

     

    The professors and spiritual monks of universities have good conduct. They are wise people in the long term. They are wise people. They are helpful to us. They are helpful to us, especially the leaders or entrepreneurs who are in high positions. It is not easy to hear different voices in the organization, let alone wisdom.

    The key is not the knowledge and wisdom of these professors and monks, but the willingness of one person to give up the idea of "ego" and open their hearts to their opinions.

    Actually, I personally believe that as long as we are willing to listen, we can be enlightened any time.

     

    All the great principles actually exist in our daily life. As long as we are willing to open our hearts and accept different opinions, wisdom is not far away. Wisdom is in our life.

     

    Likewise, we must listen to the aspirations of the people. Is it not for the masses to seek happiness?

     

    When the Sichuan earthquake happened in the 20th century, there was heavy casualties. When we saw the leaders in the disaster area in the shortest time, commanding and rescuing the injured people and condolences to the people affected, everyone was deeply moved and the image of the government was promoted.

    When the leaders of the country come to the first scene, they can listen to the voice of the grass roots so that they can feel the pain of the people and make the right decisions quickly.

     

    Mr. Ma Ying-Jeou adopted a "Long Stay" strategy in Taiwan's general election, which was to use empty time away from the city of Taipei, to the countryside in the South and central part of Taiwan, to live in the common people's homes, to experience the lives of the common people, to pplant seedlings with farmers, to harvest fruits with fruit farmers, to sell things with hawkers in the market, to live close to the lives of the small people, and to listen to the expectations of the people.

    This strategy won him the election.

     

    Management companies are also the same. Front-line employees are the ones who know the most about the company's problems and know the most effective solutions. If the leaders of the company can listen to the opinions of the grass-roots employees before making decisions, they will be able to make the right decisions. They do not need to seek outside management consultants, nor do they need to ask the monks to give directions.

    Company leaders need to go to grass roots, get close contact with employees, feel the organizational climate, and listen to employees' suggestions for the company.

     

    In my personal management experience for several decades, I like walking around management. I often use time to walk around the company and communicate with my colleagues in an informal way. The topics can be the latest technological development, and can also be economic and social issues such as inflation and price rise. The most important thing is to understand the difficulties they encountered in their work. Their suggestions for company management, though I will not fully accept these suggestions, are indeed not taken into consideration when making decisions. For me, these suggestions are very valuable, which will guide me to think deeply and finally adjust policies or introduce new management policies.

     

    So I think, as the leader of a company, if you are willing to listen and think deeply about the staff's opinions, you can be enlightened any time and find the best business strategy.
