Fuzhou University Xiamen arts and crafts Academy of Fine Arts is located in the famous scenic spot - Gulangyu Islet.
The college was founded in 1952. In 1989, Fuzhou University jointly worked with the Provincial Light hall and established the Department of Arts and crafts of Fuzhou University. In 1993, the Fuzhou University Fuzhou University was officially set up. It was formally incorporated into Fuzhou University in 2000. Experienced from fine arts to arts and crafts, and then developed into a close combination of the needs of the socialist market economy of Arts and crafts - art design famous institutions of higher learning.
Our institute has two master's degree programs, namely, design art and fine arts, and two years and half of master's degree. It includes graduate students in industrial modeling design, environmental art design, visual communication design, lacquer painting, Chinese painting, sculpture and other research directions.
Our institute has three undergraduate specialties in industrial design, art design and sculpture. It enrolls four year undergraduate students in the whole country. Among them, the art design major includes environmental art design, visual communication design, costume art design, decorative art design, animation and other professional directions. Our college has the right to grant bachelor's degree and master's degree.
The Institute persisted in teaching as the center, guaranteeing the quality of teaching, and at the same time, grasping scientific research and producing results, obtained very gratifying results. In the past three years, 6 gold medals, 16 silver awards, 11 bronze medals and 20 outstanding awards were selected in the national arts, crafts and design exhibition, and more than 150 were selected. In particular, students in the national fine arts, arts and crafts, design exhibition won gold, silver, outstanding awards of more than 50, the results are very prominent. Our institute has published more than 30 books, monograph and picture album, and published more than 130 papers. And held several national academic conferences, such as the National Artists Association Working Conference, the national industrial design forum, the National Art Design Forum and so on.
At present, the number of students in the school reaches 1500, and the graduates in our institute are welcomed by different levels of employers. The high employment rate makes our college the first choice College for students of Arts and design in our province and elsewhere.
It is worth pointing out that over the past fifty years, our college has worked hard and diligently, and has worked hard and frugal, and has been self reliant and multi financing. A large number of qualified talents have been trained for the fine arts, arts and crafts and industrial design of Fujian and even the whole country, and outstanding contributions have been made.
