Why Is It Difficult For College Students To Start Their Own Businesses?
At present, social problems that are most affecting people and the most urgent need to solve are not employment.
A few days ago, the national human rights action plan (2009~2010 years) was released, which explicitly stated that we should protect the rights of citizens and focus on solving the problem of employment of college graduates and migrant workers (China Youth Daily, April 14th).
There are still fields for migrant workers to return to their homes. If the graduates do not have jobs, why do they start their lives?
As a matter of fact, the policies for promoting employment have emerged one after another throughout the country. Various recruitment fairs have been pouring in.
But as the saying goes, "giving fish to fish is better than giving it to fish".
For some students who are suitable for their jobs, it is better to start their own businesses instead of doing everything possible to find jobs. They can not only solve their jobs, but also create job opportunities.
A survey published by China Youth Daily shows that 79% of the surveyed college students have the intention to start their own businesses.
This is no doubt a pleasant news, but according to the data of NPC deputy Wang Jianhua, only 0.3% of college students actually choose to start their own businesses in China. Guangdong is the highest proportion of the provinces in the country, and only 1%, but this proportion is as high as 25% in the United States.
Why is there a strange phenomenon in our college students' entrepreneurship? There are two reasons for it.
First, the threshold of entrepreneurship.
Rigid rigid registration system and tedious and inefficient examination and approval procedures often make entrepreneurs fear.
The establishment of an enterprise often involves more than a dozen or even dozens of official seals, and every department must take care of it.
A pnational survey shows that the average time required for registration from a registered company to the opening of a business is 2 days in Canada and 111 days in China.
For example, in the United States, Britain and other countries less than 1% of the annual salary per person, and we have reached 11% of the annual salary per person, the legendary "one dollar company" is even more undesirable.
Besides, sometimes college students are not lack of creativity and projects, and lack of financing channels.
The survey shows that 61.63% of college students believe that the lack of start-up capital is the biggest obstacle to entrepreneurship.
Two is the problem of living environment.
After you have spent a lot of money and energy, you have opened up. Income tax, value added tax, business tax and various surcharges are coming.
Besides, there are "fees and charges" besides taxes. Business administration fees, market management fees and quality inspection fees are followed.
According to your business scope, you may charge for city management, industry and commerce, quality supervision, sanitation and epidemic prevention, environmental protection, fire protection and so on.
It's hard to tell you if you are careless and give you a fine or a late fee.
The difficulty of starting a business can be seen.
Even if you do well, the market environment and business conditions are unknown.
A 2005 statistics showed that the success rate of College Students' entrepreneurship was 2%~3%, but by 2007, the survey of zero companies showed that the success rate of university students' entrepreneurship was only 0.01%.
Ordinarily, the various measures introduced across the country are very few, such as venture funds.
However, there is no way to cure this problem. As long as the tax burden is not reduced, the policy bottleneck is not opened and the institutional environment is not improved, a relaxed environment suitable for college students' entrepreneurship can not be formed.
Obviously, this requires government departments at all levels to reduce taxes and fees, simplify examination and approval procedures, optimize system settings, improve work efficiency, and create a relaxed institutional environment for university students.
