"Tao, Virtue And Skill" Of Managers
First, road and management
"Tao" is the highest concept of Chinese thought. Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism all talk about the three families, and the three roads are very similar.

Laozi said, "Tao does nothing but does nothing".
Tao is the driving force and ultimate standard of all things in the universe. It is "all for nothing".
There are yin and Yang in the Tao itself (there are yin and Yang movements), but "Dao" is more positive than the "instrument".
People's minds should be as gentle as water, so that they can be "few to the Tao", that is, the so-called "golden mean" by the Confucianists.
Management, as a series of activities in the universe, has its own "Tao" existence. This road needs us to realize.
Laozi added, "Dao Dao Dao Dao, Dao Dao", Chang Dao is not "Dao".
The Tao is whole and infinite. In Chinese culture, there is no atomism, no concept theory, and Tao, which needs overall comprehension. This is also one of the obstacles to the development of Chinese culture.
However, the combination of Tao and concrete things can still be "Dao". Therefore, there is a saying that "Tao is governed by politics" and "morality is governed by Tao".
Chuang-tzu also said that the Dao is in the ant, in the barnyard, in the tile...
However, any "Dao" way is just a kind of visualization, rather than a part of Tao. The Tao is not composed of a number of limited and tangible elements, but an inseparable whole.

"Virtue" is the key word in Chinese culture.
In the market economy, is there still need for "Virtue"? I think the answer to this question is self-evident and certainly needs, and with the increasing complexity of * * activities, virtue will be more important.
Then, because of the uneven moral standards of members of the * *, will there be a phenomenon of "honest people losing their money"? Maybe there is, but it will not be overflowed. One is because of the improvement of modern people's general quality and the enhancement of their recognition ability. What virtues do managers need to have? Integrity, honesty, kindness, humility, affinity, no anger, no blame, these are noble virtues, but these are just the basic virtues of being human, not the core virtues of managers.
Managers can be merciful, but not unjust, not generous, but not mercenary.
And the core of it is: the great cause and the calm spirit, the ability to tolerate the world and observe the autumn.
What is great?
Borrowing the "big power" theory, the non temple is far away from the rivers and lakes, but lies in the soul of the nation.
Big is not in scale, but in spirit.

What is quiet?
"Taishan collapses before it does not change color, but the elk is left behind and its eyes are not instantaneous."
Those who are not calm, change their minds, parrot in other words, eager for quick success and instant benefit, and fishing fame and reputation.
Where does static Qi come from? Lao Tzu said, "to be extremely weak, to keep quiet and sincere"; Chuang-tzu said, "the outside is heavy inside the clumsy"; the Buddha said, "abstinence".
Calm comes from the attitude of life.
Of course, in the market economy, "calm" is not to be indifferent to the * * and the market environment, but rather to "move inside and outside".
All rivers run into rivers.
"Tolerance" is a state of mind and a mind.
"There is no fish in the water until there is no fish in it."
However, "tolerance" is not connivance, but tolerance of controllability of "reversible failure" and "careless passing" on the basis of "inspection".
For managers, when things happen, they do not understand, do not know, fail to observe, and become angry after all.
Three, operation and management
Art is not the lowest link, but an equally important form of expression.
Any "Tao" needs "operation" to reflect, support and achieve, otherwise it will be large and empty, and finally become a joke.
Legalists speak of hegemony, tactics and decrees, Confucianism, and rites and music.
Modern management has more technology, production management, marketing, finance, human resources, quality control and information management.
The three major tasks of managers, such as combination of morality, virtuous practice and good skills, are difficult to become a good moral manager.
But for a manager, moral practice may be different in frequency and practice. The time and energy required for its practice are 6:3:1, and its dominant frequency may be 1:3:6.
The practice includes four aspects: thinking, learning, understanding and doing.
If the above argument is established, it is not difficult to explain why so many management professionals are not as good as a high school graduate or even a junior high school graduate.
In the Western civilization system, "wisdom" (knowledge) is classified as "tacit knowledge", which belongs to "Nu Dao GUI Shu". Such theoretical structure and cognitive angle are not conducive to the development of management theory and the practice of managers.
Master Mintzberg said, "management is a skill", probably because he has realized that there are too many things to understand in management, but he may not understand Chinese culture, so he has not expounded the concept of Tao and virtue.
