The proportion of independent entrepreneurs of the 2009 "211" college graduates is 0.4%, non "211" undergraduate institutions are 0.8%, and vocational colleges are 1.6%.

Among them, from the 2007 to the 2009 session, the proportion of self employment in higher vocational colleges is far higher than that in undergraduate education.

The second characteristic is that art design, mechatronics technology and other specialties become the first choice for self startups.

"From a professional point of view, the 2009 graduates have the largest number of bachelor's degree majors in art design, accounting for 7.4%, while higher vocational colleges account for 5.5% of electromechanical integration technology."

The third characteristic is the higher monthly income of entrepreneurs.

The entrepreneurs of college students are a group of people who have higher expectations of income.

According to the survey data, the bottom line of the 2009 graduates' self startups' income is expected to be 2429 yuan / month, higher than the 2024 yuan / month of the graduates employed in the same period, accounting for about 20%, and their income reached 3028 yuan / month through entrepreneurship, which is higher than the 2225 yuan / month employed by the same graduates.

The fourth characteristic is that the founders' basic working abilities are higher than those employed.

Effective oral communication, persuasion, judgment and decision making, negotiation skills and active learning are five basic abilities of an entrepreneur.

Zhang Jingxiu, vice president of the company, pointed out that the five ability levels of the 2009 graduates were ranked as 54%, 53%, 52%, 43% and 57% when they left school, while the five abilities of the employmen were 51%, 47%, 46%, 46% and 46% when they left school.

This shows that the ability of entrepreneurs to master is significantly higher than that of employed employees.

Moreover, 30 of the 35 basic working abilities of entrepreneurs when they leave school are higher than those of the employed.
