Bvlgari Is Booming Due To Strong Sales In China.
Italy's well-known fashion brand Bvlgari (Bulgari) group recently announced that its sales in the first quarter of 2011 increased by 27.5% to 253 million 800 thousand euros, thanks to the strong demand in the world, especially China.
In a statement, the company said that the overall recovery of the economic environment, competitive quotations in all product categories, very influential market exchange activities and continuous shopping experience all had a very positive impact on Bvlgari's turnover, but also benefited from the huge contribution of direct outlets and wholesale channels.

Sales (the company's main business) grew by 29.3% to 114 million euros, watches sales increased 22% to 50 million 600 thousand euros, accessories sales rose 19%, reaching 20 million 700 thousand euros, perfume and cosmetics sales jumped 33% to 60 million 100 thousand euros.
The sales performance of all areas in the company is very good, while Asia is the leader, occupying nearly half of the company's sales in the first quarter, reaching 122 million 300 thousand euros, an increase of 33.5%, and its sales in China alone increased by 76%.
Despite its long-term closure of Japanese stores in the wake of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami in March 11th, sales in the first quarter of this year increased by 10.5% to 39 million 400 thousand euros.

In Europe, sales increased by 16.5% to 79 million 500 thousand euros, of which Italy grew 7.8% to 2500 euros, and weekly sales increased 20.2% to 3270 euros.
