The metamaterials developed by Duke University include an array of thin conduction loops, which are made of conductive copper glass material and may look like a set of movable shutters.

The new metamaterials can make wireless power pmission simpler and safer. The lenses made by them will focus the electric energy and make the power more stable and more concentrated through the open space without diverging.
