College Of Clothing And Art, Tianjin University Of Technology

The art and Clothing Institute has a doctoral program in costume design and engineering; there are two master's degrees in costume design and engineering, and design art; four undergraduate majors in art design, advertising, fashion design, engineering and performance.

It has been approved by the Ministry of education, and students can recruit students according to the independent enrollment method of art colleges.

The college art major has more than twenty years' history of running a school and enjoys a high reputation in the society.

Relying on the advantages of Tianjin University of Technology, combining with the development trend of international art education and the demand characteristics of Chinese art and design talents, the Institute of art has constantly studied new theories, new science and new directions, strengthened the combination of art and science and technology, combined theory with practice, and emphasized the training of students' comprehensive quality and innovative ability. It has become a major discipline in Tianjin.

The school signed a cooperation agreement with the relevant institutions in Germany. The outstanding undergraduate students of art design, clothing design and engineering can be recommended by the school to pfer to Germany to read the master's degree (English teaching and tuition free).

As the characteristic discipline and specialty of Tianjin University of Technology, the teaching facilities of the college have been continuously improved. A first-class CAD laboratory has been built in China, and has been authorized by the LECTRA company of France to dress CAD technology training center, Adobe authorized training center and Canada PAD (China) training center.

The school has professional workshops and related facilities and facilities such as modeling, clothing technology, sculpture, pottery, screen printing, fiber art, photography, lacquer art, forging copper and so on.

Signed a long-term cooperative education agreement with the Oriental Bentley culture development center, one of the most influential Chinese cultural media and model circles, providing stable practice bases and employment opportunities for students performing and related majors.

The faculty has a reasonable structure and rich experience. The senior professional titles of art and design majors account for 35% of the total number of teachers, and teachers from 2/3 are returned from abroad.

Teachers have published dozens of teaching materials and monographs. In the past 08 years, 23 teachers have been identified as the editors and participating teachers of the Ministry of art and design major in 11th Five-Year. They are responsible for the preparation of 21 teaching materials.

The quality of teaching in the college has been approved by the industry. Teachers and students have won prizes in many professional competitions such as the CCTV model competition, the China model contest, the Chinese Fashion Designer Award, the advertising Academy Award, the golden calf prize and the Film Academy Award.

Many of the graduates have become well-known entrepreneurs and famous fashion designers and models.

In recent years, the employment rate of college graduates has remained above 93%.

Fashion design and Engineering

This specialty trains advanced technology and management personnel engaged in the design and development of clothing products, clothing production technology, clothing enterprise management, clothing trade, and clothing science research and teaching.

The students majored in studying and mastering the professional knowledge and skills in clothing design and production. During the study period, the students cultivated the basic quality and skills of the innovative design of clothing products through the teaching links such as clothing design foundation, clothing structure design, clothing product design and other teaching links. Through the teaching process of garment production technology and equipment, clothing CAD technology and application, clothing production management, clothing production technology, students were able to grasp the technical and technical management knowledge of clothing industry production: through learning the courses of clothing foreign trade practice, clothing marketing, clothing retailing and so on, the students could understand the basic rules and operation mode of clothing marketing.

The major courses offered are: clothing material science, clothing design foundation, clothing structure principle, men's wear structure design, women's wear structure design, garment industry pattern, garment production technology and equipment, clothing enterprise management, clothing CAD technology and application.

This professional school system is four years, and students can get a Bachelor of engineering degree after graduation.

This specialty has the right to grant doctorate and master's degree.

Performing specialty (fashion show and marketing direction)

This major insists on enhancing students' cultural attainment, learning professional theory and developing professional skills, combining theory with practice, and strengthening the role of practical teaching in cultivating professional ability. The purpose is to train high-level professional talents related to fashion industry, such as fashion show, fashion show choreographer and planning, clothing market marketing and so on.

Performing arts is one of the pioneers of opening such majors in China.

In the recent ten years of running schools, we have constantly adjusted the training objectives, improved teaching methods, explored the teaching and teaching rules and professional characteristics of the major, and made remarkable achievements in teaching reform.

In recent years, the student has won many national competitions including the professional model contest and the CCTV model competition.

The academic system of this major is four years, and a bachelor's degree in literature can be obtained after graduation.
