Shanghai Handles More Than 10000 Pieces Of Imported Clothing

Recently, Shanghai entry-exit inspection and quarantine bureau is in the city appearance sanitation.

Administration

The center has concentrated on the destruction of the 79 batch of more than 10000 pieces of unqualified imported high-end clothing that have been seized this year. The main producing areas of substandard products are South Korea, Italy, Portugal, Morocco, Spain, India, Turkey, Bangladesh and so on.

The disqualified imported garments including 9944 adult garments were destroyed.

Children's wear

99.94 kilograms.

The main unqualified safety and health items are color fastness, pH value, azo dyes, formaldehyde and fiber components.

According to the AQSIQ circular, since January 1st this year, all ports across the country have made statutory inspection of imported garments.

From 1 to May this year, the Shanghai entry exit inspection and Quarantine Bureau carried out inspection and Quarantine on the 11575 batch of imported garments valued at US $228 million.

As of June 10th, a total of 178 batches of goods were identified at Shanghai port and were confirmed to be destroyed or returned.

It accounts for more than 40% of China's total imports.

As an important port for import garments, Shanghai entry exit inspection and Quarantine Bureau has carried out thorough investigation and supervision and spot check on imported garments since 2005.

The failure rate of imported garments has always been above 20%, and imported brand clothing is not a worry free quality.
